It’s the monitor that runs instalation 07. Read up man might learn something about new halo coming up

Could you provide the source for that A.I. designation? If we knew which Ancilla you were referring to we might be able to point you in the right direction. As it is, I couldn’t find “monitor 117698…” with a Google search.

User is referring to Monitor 117649. Monitor of Installation 07. Designation is based on powers of 7. (7, 49, 343, etc.)
That and there’s an official forum post mentioning the number.
Okay so first off regardless of Installations 00-07 and later Installations 08-09. None of the monitors are Contender-Class Ancilla which are the most advanced ancilla ever fielded by the Forerunner Ecumene. Only three are known to have existed and they are Mendicant Bias, Offensive Bias and the Custodian. According to records in the Forerunner Saga, other Contender-Class Ancilla existed but Master Builder Faber needed the Didact’s codes to activate them, but that never happened and so we don’t know how many existed.
Now onto the Monitor’s location. There are many theories and the one I am leaning towards is simply the Monitor is in hiding. The inhabitants of the galaxy have a track record of destroying Forerunner Installations and even though humanity are “reclaimers”, that doesn’t ensure blind loyalty as in the case of Tragic Solitude and The Custodian. Tragic Solitude would rather wipe out all life including humanity as they’ve only destroyed and the Custodian gave humanity the middle finger even when they had to Forerunner McGuffin known as the Janus Key.
I am leaning towards the theory that the Monitor simply left the Installation or voluntareely shut down. Sitting on a ring for 100,000 years is shown to have negative effects on the monitors. Especially when Installation 07 isnt anywhere near close to human space in comparison to Installation 04 in the Sol System. The monitor would have needed to wait however long until humanity reached them and again 100,000 years is a long time and being a custodian for a superweapon would inevitably take its toll.

OK. The Monitor of Installation 07 has not made an appearance, in spite of extensive human presence on that Halo, which means it:
a) is defunct
b) abandoned its post
c) or is hiding due to humanity’s record for destroying Forerunner structures.

There’s only real information about 2 of the 7 monitors.
I could be wrong, but didn’t the monitor on installation 07 stop responding to alerts and just vanish eventually? I thought they were eluding to rampancy essentially or the logic plague. Please correct me if I am wrong. I only have the vaguest memory of this. So I am sure it is strafe with inaccuracy.
