343i promised a new playlist/gametype called Legendary Slayer that would be like traditional Halo with weapon tweaks. Where/when is it? The same time they do the tweaks or what?

The only information they gave us about Legendary Slayer is that it will be catered towards competitive players. To answer your question, the new playlist will be coming out late spring/early summer.
Our multiplayer designers are currently working on and testing Legendary Slayer. We cannot yet provide a date or more specific details at this point, but will be sure to do so in an upcoming Halo Bulletin. Thanks for your interest!

You said it brother!
Hope it’s classic in terms of movement too (meaning no sprint, but 120% speed)

how about your multiplayer designers let us test the playlist and make the changes, that way they can’t screw anything else up and leave us disappointed again.

Lightning CTF doesn’t have sprint so its possible.

Wasn’t throwdown supposed to do this?

I agree that would be nice. Maybe its along the lines of glitches and stuff IDK, but going with Contagiss’s route would be a huge improvement for playlist testing and community communication. It would also push people to head to the playlist feedback part of the forums to give there opinion. Making changes on a bi-weekly basis while collecting and creating a list of changes/updates.

No throw-down was basically the competitive game-type not classic halo.

Throwdown is Competitive gameplay, MLG settings were never the most popular playlist in previous games. Infinity is too random and unbalanced for those of us that want a classic Halo multiplayer experience.
Basically it’s a sweet spot between complete chaos and monotony.

Would people please stop comparing throwdown to classic halo. Sure it is a hell of a lot closer to classic halo then infinity, but throwdown is first and foremost the competitive playlist in the game.
I would love it if they took out sprinting for Legendary Slayer the same way they did for lightning CTF. Maybe then throw down could incorporate those settings into it’s playlist as well! v.v

Translated “We dont want to get your hopes up on what may or not be there, and we like to be as vague as possible at all times so nothing we say can come back to bite us later, as weve done that a few too many times already. It will be out eventually, probably in a poor form.”

No, it means they’re working on it, but they don’t actually know when they’ll be finished with it. They can’t provide any info if they don’t have any yet.

How about a projected layout that is “Subject to change”? Like oh, any of the members of this forum can produce in 2 minutes? Then people can say “YES DO THAT” and “NO, DONT EVEN DO THAT”.
Instead of “Oh it will be out eventually, and you can tell us what you think upon release”.
Why cant we actively, and preemptively shape the gametype instead of wasting time?

LOL
Hopefully people are still playing/care by late spring/summer…
Well if legendary slayer is traditional enough then that will be one problem solved. Next is weapon balancing:)
They didnt say they would releasse it immediately.
This is going to be so awesome! Don’t disappoint me 343
