> While many will disagree, I think the best thing to come out of Halo 4 was Spartan Ops. In concept it’s a great addition to the Halo franchise but it would need tweaks for others to really enjoy it like I did. My main gripe about it was how Crimson seemed to be critical to the situation but never discussed in cut scenes. I know it’s way to much to ask for us to be represented in CGI with our various armors but atleast being talked about would be nice. When Crimson was captured, it didn’t really seem like anyone on the Infinity cared about us.

> Moving on, I get a feeling that Crimson is the Spartan team working with Locke. Without a doubt Crimson is the best Fireteam on the Infinity. While being a four member squad they’ve done better than all the other teams in just about everything. We even beat Majestic in the sims being a man down apparently. With all that Crimson has been through just on a single tour of duty, they’d be up there for some pretty high end arrangments from the UNSC along with medals and promotions.

> Locke would probably go through dozens of files regarding Spartans to be assembled as his team. He’d only look for the best and the most loyal. Crimson would be a no brainier in this case. MC and Blue team vs Locke and Fireteam Crimson. I doubt 343i would miss out on the RvB puns. This would also allow for some pretty awesome Jacob vs Edward action IMO. New blood vs Old School. Numbers or Expertise?
well, the idea of Spartan Ops was great, but its implementation in Halo 4 was a real mess… they were like: “go there and press that button, let’s se what happens” , “kill’ em all” “other enemies incoming” “press that button and enemies will stop arriving” that is absolutely idiotic… and all of this always happened in the same 10 or 15 maps… are you telling me that every time spartans conquered a territory nobody was sent there to defend it?? or everytime it was reconquered by Jul’s covies? come on, they could have done a great job, but Spartan Ops in Halo 4 are really awful… then, the characters of crimson fireteam are not characterized at all, so they will surely not be in Locke’s team. and I’ll explain you why, but I must warn you, the next part conteins possible spoilers ( from Halo Nightfall and Halo: New Blood):
Locke’s team is composed by Locke, two male spartans and a female spartan, now if you watched Halo Nightfall you should know that Macer escaped with Locke from the Alpha Halo fragment and she said she wanted to become a ONI agent, so here’s the female spartan, then in Halo New Blood you find the odsts team from Halo 3 odst: the Rookie dies in that book (sad moment), Dutch was done with fighting, then Buck, Romeo and Mickey became spartans. After that Mickey got arrested because he joined the insurrectionists (other sad moment) and the only two remaining spartans are Buck and Romeo, guess who’ll be on Locke’s team? (Locke’s team has not yet been confirmed but this theory looks pretty realistic, or at least, I’m sure it is the best theory)
Also: you say that there’s nothing bad for faceless silent characters and that’s right, but it is far different from a non characterized character, what I mean is the difference between Crimson Fireteam and the Rookie from Halo 3 Odst, he appears in lot of cutscenes and you can see him investigate to find out where the rest of his team is, and the player could easily get in contact with him just watching he moving through the city, but there is nothing like that for Crimson team…
edit: I also love the job Bungie did with Noble six as faceless character, if you play Halo: Reach you can easily tell Noble six was a great spartan, surely one of the best Spartan III
