When and where did he die? It’s not exactly clear, I thought they would put more emphasis on the main antagonist of the series

Honestly, I think he’s just stuck on the Ark. It’s possible they lost contact with him and presumed he’s dead. It wouldn’t surprise me if this new Brute was over zealous about reporting Atriox dead then taking his throne.
Nope, they,ve said nothing but the brute says they follow the “will” of atriox. If he’s not dead he’s lost somewhere and will likely be in dlc or later in the campaign
