What happened to the rotation of maps in SWAT/other Arena matches. Seems like we are stuck on repeat with The Rig, Mercy, Pegasus II (with even worse spawn killing), Truth, Coliseum, Eden, and Plaza. (Played Coliseum 6 times in a row the other day…) I feel like Bill Murray in Ground Hogs Day.
What happened to these maps: Empire, Fathom, Molten, Overgrowth, Regret, Riptide, Stasis, Torque, and Tyrant? Haven’t had one of these in the rotation in over a month it seems. They aren’t the greatest maps, but at least it’s something different.
They need to bring back some classic maps like Lockout and Ivory Tower to the mix.
Any thoughts? What are your ALL TIME favorite maps?
Agreed! I tend to only play team slayer with friends, but when we do it feels as though there is maybe 5 or 6 maps of in rotation… Mercy, Eden, Molten, The Rig, Truth and Regret.
I would love to see some new/different maps featured in playlists… and not to mention other game types too, slayer can get a bit dull.
I’m actually surprised Lockout hasn’t made it over to Halo 5 yet… I’d love to play on Guardian with the current matchmaking settings, as I’m sure a lot of others would. Seeing Ghost Town make an appearance would make me happy, no end!
Ghost Town would be legit. I gotta tell you though, I was playing last night and it was just getting booooooooring. I think I played Plaza 5 times in a row against the same fire team. I mean, you can only destroy a team’s hopes and dreams so many times without feeling sorry for them. I know in SWAT they tried to make it interesting by adding H1 and H2 Halo weapons, but at the end of the day, it’s still the same thing. I think it’d be nice if players can veto/choose a map to play.
Not to mention, the spawn locations in Guardians are just terrible. They’ve definitely improved, but they make no sense in some of the maps. Pegasus II has got to be the absolute worst!

I’d love to see the pit again, and a few others . I’ve taken a few years away from halo. In general I like halo 5, however I hate that I can’t vote for a match. I mostly play SWAT and I don’t mind magnums but 4 in a row… And why oh why is there no rumble pit??? WHY???

I have not seen Torque in months. Admittedly it is one of the worse maps, but I would still like to see it way more often than I currently do. It was good with Assault.

Torque seems exclusive to Super Fiesta right now. It’s the only playlist I’ve played it in as of late.
The first half of the issue is that most of 343s maps are crap to begin with. The second half is that they only rotate 5 or 6 maps at a time which is totally lame.
I definitely think every map should be rotated through but never recycled until all other maps are played. This let’s everybody see a map they like sooner or later without the need for vetos/map voting.
Additionally, the map remasters from HCEA and Reach should be added to Arena. They look great and are arguably some of the best maps in the entire series. To be specific I want to see
- Lockdown - Solitary - Penance - Battle Canyon - Warlord - Bloodline - Stonetown - High Noon - Shrine - Remnant - ZenithSounds like a tall order, but these maps are all 100% ready to go and running on MCC, so why not in H5 Arena. That would fix virtually every issue I have with MP maps in H5. Not to mention it would be a good nod from 343 to show veteran players that they are actually appreciated.

Wait, YOU’VE SEEN MOLTEN!? that’s my favourite map and I have not been able to play it in ffa in so long. I just made myself sad…
Agreed, SWAT has gone to poop, I like the weapon introduction apart from the dmr which I can’t aim for cr#p anymore since they changed something with the weapon movement. No joke I played plaza 3 times in a row.

I really don’t like Torque with Super Fiesta. It’s awful in my opinion. Torque is way better with Assault and okay with normal Slayer.
