Where Halo can be improved and where it needs to b

I’ve been playing Halo 5 for a couple of hours most nights since it came out, and so some things are bound to annoy me about it but prejudice aside there are some faults with this game that need addressing.

Firstly prejudice not aside destroy all evidence Skirmish at Darkstar was ever created, I hate that level with a passion. I’ve had about 15 games on it now and lost 13 and pretty much every one lost has been badly. No other level gives arise to this kind of one sided game with such frequency… Maybe I’ve just been unlucky… But it’s lead me to this rant.

I think being able to set preset load-outs for each req level up would be a big plus, it’s quite annoying wasting precious time fumbling around the menu and then accidentally selecting 2 sub machine guns because your analogue didn’t register and having to back track… There’s also a ridiculous number of battle riffles and the like, it can take precious moments to filter through them.

I also think the spawning is often a joke on warzone, if a base is being taken you should be spawned within a reasonable distance to stop that happening which often isn’t the case. That’s one of many with that one though, I’ve been spawned off the side of maps, in front of enemies out of the base when nobody’s taking it… If your using well earned reqs you should be spawned as close to where you ask as safely possible, which so often isn’t the case. Although I should imagine it is quite a tricky thing to balance… But sometimes it really is a joke.

One I’m weary to suggest is being able to opt out of maps, at least one of the full selection perhaps, something to stop repeat goes on maps would be nice too. A vote to move on to the next map as you often see maybe… I say I’m weary because I know there are pros and cons to that one… I just really hate that map too…

Oh and strongholds should have it’s own ranked match in Arena, just because I like it and I’m good at it really.

There are obviously many pro’s to this game or I wouldn’t have played it for so long, that and it has been made to be addictive. But it does often test me, more so since Skirmish at Darkstar came out… I’m sure there’ll be more I think of but I’m about done for now… Any input is welcome.

Spawning in warzone is iffy at times, sometimes it spawns you under the map, sometimes it spawns you in a place were you can’t save your base from the one guy who got in there without anyone noticing but you then he takes the base. It needs some tuning if you ask me.

Darkstar isn’t a bad map and isn’t one sided, you are just extremely unlucky.
Preset REQs are pointless because you can choose your favorites ASAP, if your analog stick isn’t working correctly get a new controller or try to use your DPad for a bit.
I can’t fight the warzone spawning comment, it’s pretty annoying at times but is usually fine.
The ability to Opt out of maps is a terrible idea, it would make one map become extremely overplayed and annoying and a lot of the 343 creations would never be played again such as Regret and Riptide. I don’t like these maps, but I play them in respect of the effort put in to make them.
Strongholds/CTF/Assault having their own game modes is a terrible idea, the more playlists and the older the game gets, the harder it will be to find games in specific areas.

I’ll stick at darkstar hoping you’re correct, but I know I’m not alone because of the number of games I’ve joined on that map when it’s half finished and my team has half left, literally about 6-7 of my 15 games on it have been like that. I know this does happen occasionally on other levels but Darkstar has just been terrible for me.

I really disagree with the preset reqs, it’s not ASAP there’s about 30 battle rifles, 20 odd sub machine guns, your armor boost all to select and then you may want to use a req… All whilst something crucial could be happening in game. That is not ASAP, I have two pads both work fine. It doesn’t register because it can take about 1-2 seconds for it to move on screen after moving the analogue (sometimes not always) and so if I press A before it’s moved across I end up with two of nearly the same gun and have to waste time backtracking. I will try the Dpad but I really don’t think it’s that. It’s more like a second of lag despite my internet running just fine, some games are just slightly laggy… I wouldn’t matter if you could preload reqs though. I fail to see how it could make the game worse put it that way.

As I said there are pros and cons other games have had a vote to move on to the next map… I am undecided if that is a good idea myself in all honest though.
I have no idea where you’re coming from with Strongholds/CTF/Assault… Nonsense.
