Where does the community stand on Halo 4

Well since there are people on the forums that think they speak for everyone because they dislike Halo 4 and say anyone who likes Halo 4 either hasn’t played the older games or sucks.

Where do you guys stand?, Likes, dislikes, concerns, favorite things and hopes.Thoughts on specializations,AAs,Sprint and armors.

the community is divided in a nutshell.

Me? I’m one of the optimistic fans. And having played at RTX, I have reasons to be optimistic

Cautiously optimistic. Emphasis on the cautiously…

Hope; good campaign, good forge environments that’ll all be unique, and much more.

Concern; weapon sounds.

Concerned.

It looks like we’re getting Halo Reach 2: Call of Future Warfare

featuring a perk like system from CoD within Halo … smh

And how exactly do you presume that?.

the community is more or less at war over it.

one side defends halo 4 at all costs expecting it to be super awesome.
the other side is attacking halo 4 for pressumably bad additions to the game.

these 2 sides are colliding causing an out right war trying to convince each other that what there opinion is is what is factually correct.

that is where the community stands.

The only single Community is the one that likes Halo. How does a single Community of multiple communities stand?
Where all such communities built like that stand, in different places.
It’s like we’re on an island called Halo… Actually a planet named Halo is better because some communities are continents apart in view. And yet those same groups still can be divided further into their own states/provinces/etc.

Obviously not what I meant if you bothered to read the thread.

i’m sorry, i thought you were asking where the community stands as per the title.

me, i’m highly skeptical, they introducing features that are one of the reasons i don’t play other games.

No 1-50 ranking system. I’m assuming that we’re getting an invisible true skill which is pointless, why bother to have true skill if you can’t see it? It’s going to be like CoD where we get EXP for effort and won’t be based on winning just like Reach …

Finally the talk of gimmicks such as specializations is the real kicker. This is WAY too similar to CoD that it hurts me from the inside. Example: Stalker … It’s a deathstreak in CoD where you get killed 5 times you see a waypoint over your last killer. For some reason they made it a “perk” in Halo but you acquire it upon one death … smh

Going by everything I’ve seen so far, I like Halo 4. Curious to see how Specializations work in Halo and I think its actually kind of hilarious how a lot of people are but-hurt over how 343i is adding new things to Halo, yet if they made halo 3.5 or 2.5, OH NO THIS SUCKS, 343i MAKE THE SAME CRAP, NO CREATIVITY! Lol…

I think a quarter of us are loving it, a quarter of us are cautiously optimistic, another quarter are skeptical but open minded, and a quarter of us hate the ever-loving crap out of it.

Personally, i am feeling optimistic but, naturally I’m a skeptic. So I have my concerns here and there but, am really excited to get the game in my hands and have a go.

Fair enough, but these are more subtle changes and aren’t as extreme as other games.Playing more stealthy or playing as a better sniper or playing as a better vehicle operator really doesn’t hurt the game.Stalker on the other hand is going to be used by trolls for spawn kills and can get ridiculously annoying.

Frankie: “Storm before the calm.” I’m guessing we are still in the storm stages, but not me personally.

Well, I’ve been a longtime fan, and what ever 343i dishes up, I’m ready to play, because after watching countless gameplay videos, RTX Longbow matches, ViDocs, news aggregates, etc. I think it should take the cake. It did win the Best Shooter award, so i’m pretty excited to see it win that. I Wonder how it plays.

My concern is with the campaign. I could go on a whole rant about how bad Halo 2’s campaign was, but I’ll refrain. But damn was that such a disappointment.

Anywaaaaaay, so yeah.

[pressure] Do not mess this campaign up, 343. [/pressure]

You get EXP either way,but you’re going to get a lot more if you win,1-50 isn’t that important.Stalker is the only specialization I’m worried about, everything other then that isn’t bad or has a negitive affect on other players.

Campaign is looking pretty good so far,the books done by greg bear are amazing and set the stage really well.
