As we know, Gabriel Thorne (Spartan IV from Halo 4 Spartan Ops and Halo Escalations Comic) was cut from being apart of Team Orisis originally in Halo 5. We don’t no why yet but I believe 343i is saving him for something better than a side role.
They have been trying to Hype him up since Halo 4 Spartan Ops and he also plays a big role in the Halo Escalation comics. He even was made into a high quality 12" 3A figure before most characters in the Universe 343i could have chosen.
I believe we will see a spin off game featuring Gabriel Thorne as the main character. The game will be similar to Halo 3: ODST. 343i wouldn’t go this far in trying to develop a character for a side role. His time is coming to shine. That’s why I think 343i decided to remove him to give the character a bigger role. Halsey saw something in him so we shall see.
What do you guys think? Would you like to see him as a main playable character in his own game?
thorne`s never really interested me, just seems like the clean cut rookie with a tragic backstory cliche, but i don’t mind him. i definitely see him in a standalone game/ paying a role in halo 6. would have been interesting to see him on osiris though.

I feel like he just didn’t take to be honest. He was originally intended to be part of osiris, but well if you have the chance to get buck you get buck. I mean it’s not like it hasn’t happened before, or is it just me that feels like palmer was meant to be more than she ended up being?

This is the most likely, at best.
The whole reason Thorne was pushed aside is because Buck had better chemistry. This is of course because Buck is more of a…character than Thorne is. Thorne’s pretty normal and is just generally liked due to being mellow instead of a jock like the rest of Majestic.
I’ll agree that Palmer was also likely meant for more, just the fan backlash against her pushed her back.
I could see Throne lol (Thorne) having a spinoff game. Need about 4 halo games on the Xbox One before the next system comes out lol

Not a fan if he has his own game I won’t be buying it not at full price anyway. If Thorne was in Osiris there would be far less interest in the team dynamic compared to what we have now.
