Everyone is getting really excited to get their hands on the game and experience it, as 343 seems to be making a great game. If you had to guess, where do you think this game will rank in the series with the other games? The Campaign seems to have an epic scale and scope as well as being personal and having character/emotion behind it. The Multiplayer has been fantastic and since they have made improvements since the beta, I can’t wait!! Warzone is getting me so hyped up, a mode that seems so awesome and will really catch people’s attention. If you had to guess, where do you think this game will rank with the others?
Hard to say without having the completed game in front of me. However I would say it has a good chance from what I have seen and played so far to be IMO the best game in the series to date. I rate Halo 2 as my favourite and while it is not there yet I feel it probably already a close second and I much prefer it to Halo 3 so far.
TBH, I’d say an 8/10. At worst, a 6, but I highly doubt that.

Halo 2
-
Halo: Reach
-
Halo 5 (speculation)
-
Halo CE
-
Halo 4
-
Halo 3
-
Halo ODST
-
Halo wars
There’s no way to reliably tell at this point, but if they pull it off, it could top 2&4 as my favourites.
Below: HCE/H2/H3
Above: Reach/H4
This is like being asked to choose ‘who’s your favourite child’ out of your 6 children (CE, 2, 3, ODST, Reach, 4) & your unborn baby (H5)!
Although you should love all of them equally, the first born is always special, the rest are very dear to you and you have great memories with all of them, although you shouldn’t publicly state it the 5th child (H4) you’re slightly disappointed in for trying to copy the popular kids (COD).
This is how I’d rank it based on the information and things I’ve seen. This is just my opinion.
1.Halo 2
2.Halo 5
3.Halo CE
4.Halo Reach
5.Halo 3
6.Halo 4
7.Halo Wars
8.Halo ODST
It’ll surely be one of the best games of 2015 wouldn’t you think?
Well, following 2015’s trend at the cinema, I think it’ll come in a strong second. Just look at the (completely and entirely unrelated) facts: Jurassic World > Jurassic Park 2 and 3 but < Jurassic Park 1; Terminator: Genysis > Terminator 3, Salvation and (IMO) 1 but < Judgment Day. Therefore, we can extrapolate that:
-
Halo 2
-
Halo 5: Guardians
-
Halo: Reach
etc.
Protip: this post wasn’t serious, but it’s nice to think it’ll be up there like the new Jurassic and Terminator films, isn’t it?

To take a page out of Conan’s book:
On a a scale of 1 to 280, with 1 being terrible, 280 being horrendous, 63 being magnificent, 127 being phenomenal, 94 being mildly enjoyable, and 212 being average, I think Halo 5 will be about a 77.

You might want to read the first post before replying.
I am expecting to rank it somewhere between the fun of H2, H3 and H4. Campaign will probably have a “feeling” similar to H2 since we will be swapping main characters.
For their sake I really hope H5 launches with very few problems. If it does then I will pick up H5 about a week later.
It’s difficult to predict because there are so many unknowns. With that being said, Halo 2 and 4 are probably my favorites to-date and I view Halo 5 as 343’s Halo 2. Because of this, I would say it certainly has the potential to rank as the best in the series. A renewed focus on arena multiplayer, Spartan abilities, and a larger-than-ever campaign give me confidence that that 343 isn’t messing around, and the game could be the best so far.
I think 343i tells a better story than Bungie did. But when it comes to multiplayer, Halo 4 was lacking. That’s a no brainer. I’d like to think that they learned from their mistakes and are trying to get Halo back onto the pro competitive circuit, and from what I’ve seen, they very well might do it.
That being said, not everyone likes the competitive gameplay. Warzone seems to be their remedy for this. Which, I do admit, looks damn fun. And brings more to the table than previous iterations of Halo, save for the lack of firefight.
I’m personally looking forward to Halo 5. And I think it will do a lot better than any of 343’s previous works.
Well this is pure guesswork as I don’t know how good it will end up being:
Halo 2
Halo CE
Halo 5
Halo 3
Halo 4
Halo Reach
BEST EVAR!
But really, not sure. Takes a while for me to get a good feel for where something should appropriately slot in. With time, Halo 3’s impression has taken a beating to me and Halo: Reach looks a bit better. So, I won’t really know for a year or two.
The beta has me believing it’ll at least be better than 4. And maybe above ODST, 3 and CE. (CE is an amazing game, but playing it in MCC reminds me how clunky it feels compared to the sequels.)
But nothing will top Halo 2’s nostalgia factor for me.
From a campaign standpoint. It’ll probably blow the others out of the water with its story and gameplay. I’ll have to wait to see on multiplayer, but there’s a good chance it’ll be my farvourite with the addition of warzone
I have a feeling it’s going to be like this:
- Halo 5 - Halo 4 - Halo 3: ODST - Halo 3 - Halo CE - Halo 2With 1 being the best and 6 being the worst. So pumped for Halo 5!!

Not often you see someone with Halo 2 and 4 as their favorites, together. Good on you
