So I had to shorten the title but yeah I finally got the vidmasters because it’s the only way to get recon…lucky those who didn’t have to go through that torture! xD so where do I request it? Or is 343i gonna do a wave to unlock it for everyone who got the vidmasters?
A while back they announced they would unlock it for everyone, regardless of their Vidmaster Challenge progress. However this seems to have stopped post launch of Halo 4 
I’ve tried tweeting various 343 peeps on Twitter for a response about this but I have yet to get a response
All you can do is wait until they unlock it for the next wave of people.
Man I really hope they do another wave. It took a lot of time doing those vidmasters.
If you played Halo 3 near the end(when it was dying) Bungie unlocked recon for everybody. IF you only played Halo 3 back then. But now there is no way of getting it.
I did on my old account. I’ve worked my -Yoink- off on these vidmasters to get Recon hopefully some day if 343i is kind enough to unlock it for me. I still play Halo 3 almost everyday. I still think it’s lame Bungie unlocked it for everyone. That kinda just made everyone like me who actually did the vidmasters look stupid. This is actually my second time getting all vidmasters btw.

Literally none of this is true.
Recon was given to all players, regardless of their Vidmaster Challenge progress shortly before Halo 4 launched by 343 Industries.
The only way to get it is by waiting for them to unlock it for you.
It was given to all recent players when Halo 4 came out? So how come I don;t have it. I played at least every few days around that time 
I got my seventh Vidmaster in February, and Recon was there the next time I logged into Halo 3.
