Where do I go from here?

Halo 4 gives me an unreadable disc error each time I attempt to play it.

It doesn’t matter if I’m in Campaign or mm or spartan ops.

I’ve just had a slightly different error where it gave me the ‘unreadable disc’ error so I cleared cache. Then it came up with ‘please download the game again’ I haven’t downloaded it, just installed it.

After lots of testing (clear cache, clear hdd space, uninstall/reinstall, change storage device, play on a different Xbox, get another copy of the game, play game uninstalled) I’ve found that it only occurs when I’m connected to Xbox Live. It doesn’t happen when I play the game offline.

All the ‘official’ fixes I’ve found I’ve covered in the paragraph above. I’ve also had to invoke my statutory rights and DSR with Amazon to arrange yet another return. But I don’t think yet another copy of the game is going to resolve this.

I’m lucky enough to have access to all the versions of the 360 and this issue occurs on all. But again, only when the Xbox is connected to Xbox Live.

Anything I’ve missed? Any weird and wonderful fixes out there? Granted, I don’t play the game very much but it would be nice to be able to use something I’ve paid for should the mood take me.

Sorry, I don’t know. You might want to try this:

Send a private message to this account and explain in as much detail as possible:

  • The problem you’re encountering
  • What you’ve tried doing about it so far
    Also include the following:

> Console ID (you can find your Xbox 360 Console ID using these instructions: http://connect.microsoft.com/XboxLIVEUpdate/content/content.aspx?ContentID=14068
> Service Date (found on the back of the console).
> Serial Number (found in the System Info screen or on the back of the console)
> Product ID (found on the back of the console)[/li]

Good luck with getting it sorted, it sounds very frustrating.
