Where did the security chestplate in Halo 3 go?

I was playing MCC and I noticed the security armor in halo 3 is missing the chestplate. Now I know it was in the original Halo 3 so where did it go? I would like to know.

I love what 343 is doing to MCC but this chestplate should be able to come back.

In the original Halo 3, that actually wasn’t a chestplate. If you wear that helmet, then the antenna will appear on any chest. However, come the Master Chief Collection when armor customization came about, they reverted it to a chest piece. Then, I think around the Fireteam Raven season, it was reverted back as an accessory to the Security Helmet whenever using a classic Halo chest (EVA, EOD, etc.) .

I’ve always thought it should be a back accessory, I love the thing and that’d be a good middle ground for those who like it with different helmets or different chest pieces, but right now, it’s back to the classics.

Original Halo 3 had no security chest as the Legacy/Bungie chest was intended to fill that role. However MCC added it as an option in Season 5 initially due to the bugs caused between the helmet and the new biped system (the antenna is not designed nor set up to attach to anything but a Mark VI chest)

Personally i didn’t mind having it separated from the security helmet, and I wouldn’t mind to see it done again so long as they improve it with the concept chest from here: https://halo.wiki.gallery/images/d/d3/H3_MPSpartan_ArmourConcept_12.jpg

Holy crap, that chestpiece is the coolest item, I’d use that over any other option if it was added, and Halo 3 has some dang good options.
