Anyways, since the switch I realised that both my Gamma AND Beta buddies list has not carried over, is this going to happen soon or was it intentional?

It’s one of the side-effects of the transition. Unfortunately you will have to add them all over again.

Shame that happened, I lost some friends when this happened but it’s easy enough to get them back. To me it’s easier to get friends now.
