You start the first mission and then you hear this high beeb noise. In what science fiction series did I hear that before?
I keep forgetting it. Help me out guys

Ok no one know I guess. No it is not the Star Trek whistle, not high enough. Bu I guess no one has a clue what a talk about or donĀ“t care so
I played the mission once, on monday so I didnāt really remember what you talked about.
Doesnāt it occur when Palmer starts talking? I remember that I immediatley thought of the āoly oly oxen freeā thing from the books, but Iām not even sure that it was a whistle. Either way, donāt know what it was.
Your hearing the shipwide alert noise, star treck did use that kind of alert so that may be one popular source. Basically, you could have heard it from any major naval related sci fi mediaā¦

I did here the exact sound somewhere else before some years ago but canĀ“t remember where.
Maybe it is Star Trek but a other sound? I mean with this āinstrumentā they used for star trek, you could make change it to that high noise. I forgot the name of that instrument. It has some kind of antenna and magnet and when you hold your hand over it it make noises. Maybe they used that lol who knows.

But I did hear that sound, the exact same sound. It can not be every science fiction media.

most likely a whistle, in this case synthesized for modern usage across th infinity. Donāt quote me, but im assuming the whistle has been around since the days where people actually used a real whistle so this sound is used for the sake of traditionā¦
Maybe you are right I donĀ“t know. I did not notice it in any Halo game. Maybe I never paid attention to it?
A whistle would be really boring but ok maybe there was just a whilst around

Its Called a Bosun whistle, used to sound alerts in the navy
Also, if it is not the all hands it is Small Boat on the side, which could be the case considering the Covey cruiser on the side.

It is the same sound, its just sped up in the game, that sound has always been made by a Bosun whistle, It makes it high enough pitched so that people can hear it over all the noise on the open sea back in the old naval days of sailing
