Where have all the Forgers gone?
I come in here to check out peoples maps and these days it seems like noone is Forging anymore. Where did you all go?
We’re still here, planing for out next task (Halo 4).
Don’t worry, I’ve got something cooking for this weekend. It is still in testing for bugs though. You can come help if you like. I will not be online until Friday 4:00 EST.
I may certainly not speak for the CCs, as they have unique circumstances, but most of the best forgers realize that better things (probably) are just around the metaphorical corner, and that reach is coming to an end wWith only a few months left to publish some “private” maps, and with MM scaled back with little chance of getting anything else in, there’s not too much driving anyone to make a lot of maps anymore. There’s still a bit of a trickle, but it’s slim pickings.
Anyway, if you are looking for some more quality maps, just keep looking. There’s a lot still roaming around that is very good. A little hint, type in Blueprint on the filesearch tab, any you’ll get a lot of fun maps in every category/

I just watched the Halo 4 Forge videos and I squealed like a little girl when I saw the Brace Larges were back.
Wait till then 
I have a great map and would like help finishing it up. Friends love the gameplay so far but I’m not proud of the aesthetics yet. Any one interested?
Map is called Playground and is on my fileshare.
I have built two maps this week already. I know Halo 4 is coming out but I just can’t help myself. It’s like playing with Lego but better!
For aesthetics ideas and inspiration I recommend looking up the Halo Forge Epidemic on Youtube.

What kind of things are you trying to create?
It’s a semetrical map, very small. 2-8 players
Jungle gym, Slides x2, monkey bars x2, basketball court x2, male and female restroom. Rockets at bottom mid and must us monkey bars to get to the sniper rifles (or jet pack)
Works great with MLG v7

I pretty much put most of what I can think of, hoping some fresh eyes can come up with some more ideas.
Also there are a few see-saws that function as jump ups and cover.
Sounds interesting. Make sure an updated version is in your file share and I’ll take a look ASAP.

Dude that is awesome! I really like how the Monkey bars can ACTUALLY be used! I have no idea what else you could add though sorry. that is pretty damn sweet!
With Halo 4 coming out in just two months, I’m being really selective with what I invest time in Forging now. I have a few unfinished projects that rely heavily on Halo: Reach’s specific gametypes, so I’m definitely going to be finishing those… but for other things, I’m waiting to build them in Halo 4.

If it is indeed an Invasion map then it may not come to fruitation anytime soon.

There’s a successor to Invasion which I’m assuming will be better balanced and more flexible.
The enhanced forge palette and graphics will make it a better experience overall.
Glad you like. My friends keep surprising me on my own map. It seems you could jump on both bathrooms from monkey bars, and from there you can get on the basketball backboards.

I enjoyed having a run around on it.
My friends always surprise me with the tactics they deyploy on my maps.
I’ll build something thinking it will get used in one way and they use it in another.
All thos not wanting to invest time in Forge until Halo 4 comes out I can understand why. The video of the new Forge did make me geekgasm but I just can’t help myself. I have to Forge XD
