The LE its out of stock, and i wanted just for the map pass…Can i get the war games map pass with my halo 4 standar copy the release date?

Yep, you’ll just have to get it using Microsoft points.

Indeed. I’ve cancelled my LE pre-order. I think the season pass is better value.

It’s two fold:

  1. It’s becoming harder to get the LE. So those getting the standard addition want the additional maps.

  2. Some folks are disappointed about LE not truly being limited in perks/benefits. Therefore some folks are getting the standard addition and purchasing the pass.

i presume a digital version for microsoft points will also be avaliable?

You should be able to purchase just the Map Pack Pass without having to spend excess money and buy points.
When Gears 3 came out, I went straight to Gamestop and asked the clerk if they were selling the Season Pass. They were, and that’s all I paid for. Didn’t need to buy Microsoft points.

I’m wondering the exact same thing. Strange that it happens all at once isn’t it?

OT: I saw at GameStop there was a little Halo 4 booth that had a countdown for the game, and a bunch of things with it. One of them was a pre-order for a Microsoft Points card that you could use to buy the Map Pass. You could always buy a regular points card though. It will be available in the Xbox Live Marketplace on release day to.

I agree, however, I have around 1300 excess points I have no plans for, so It would be cheaper for me to buy them with MSP. Have yet to hear whether or not it’s definitely going to be online or not, though.
