Where are they ? (animals, biomes, scarab ....)

I was also surprised that the Scarab (particularly the Banished Scarab) wasn’t seen in the game but perhaps in DLCs or future patches, it can be added to the vehicle content of Halo Infinite, and we can be fighting against the Banished Scarab in campaign DLCs.

I’d like to know where or what the heck happened to Laskey, Halsey, and Palmer cause last I checked Reverie seemed to have been overrun in the six months Chief floated around.

Ikr… Scarab battles we’re always a nice way to break up the gameplay. Man it would’ve been fun grappling around one or taking one on with a razorback full of explosive skewer marines

This thread needs more love, it’s true that we see some things on infinite but not a lot, sure it’s not a shield world but it’s still one of the most oldest rings and most important (according to lore) we should see more things instead of the small part of the ring we get to explore hell at least show us some references from the books

Cinematic fluff that was designed to make the world feel less empty.

Part 1 of the story is Mountains with Taiga Forestry
Part 2 will be a desert
Part 3 is unknown
Mini-Campaign DLCs might bring other biomes

Update further down the line I presume.

Given that the open world terrain was too rough for vehicles to be as fun as they used to be, I would presume that the Scarabs would not work well in the environment we had.

Perhaps Part 2 being a desert will have more flat regions where a Scarab can be fought as a boss battle as one of the HVT targets or Purple Side-Ops targets?

Probably Part 2.

You don’t want to have Part 1 filled with all the same stuff that Part 2 and 3 would feature. Otherwise there would be less new content for the subsequent story parts. After all, if Part 1 had everything and then Part 2 just introduced The Endless as a faction of enemies to fight… then people would say it is kind of bland.

Outside of Halo Wars 2, ODST, and Reach; our Engineer buddies don’t really get proper representation.
Plus, they are not really our enemies. So asking them to be in the game as a target seems kind of cruel. Perhaps a side-mission can see us save a Huragok Nest from The Banished and strip them of their bombs / armor to be free to roam Zeta Halo?

For the most part yes.

How do you know part 2 will be a desert ? Did 343 said that ? Have you a link or something please

We were teleported to an arid sandy environment away from the broken section of the Halo Ring.

The Cipher Text that was found on Sandtrap, Sand Box, and Epitaph in Halo 3 has made its return. And Sandtrap / Sand Box were locations of tombs where there were defenses to keep whatever was buried away INSIDE their defensive perimeter. Whereas Epitaph was a spire-structure in a desert where it was more of a warning.

I predict that The Endless are going to be found in the desert regions of Zeta Halo, and that theses three multiplayer maps are now going to be retconned into being locations on Zeta Halo and possibly be in the campaign / added to the multiplayer roster. The things buried away within their perimeters now being The Endless, and that Cipher Code seen in these three Halo 3 maps and Forerunner areas of Halo Infinite being translatable into a warning akin to “The Forerunners have sealed away great evils before The Flood. May they forever be sealed away.”
