Not having a Scarab battle really annoys me. I get that a free-roaming Scarab would be tough to work out, but I wouldn’t have minded a Scarab fight being in its own isolated mission in an isolated area just for that mission.
While I like the core gameplay, I really miss the diverse biomes and BIG spectacle/battle moments of previous campaigns.
i agree - sort of. just to bring cyberpunk 2077 back in, that game was delayed how many times? each delay sucked turbo -Yoink!- but each delay gave us hope like oh man this is going to be so polished
and… it was not.
as much of a -Yoink!- i been on this forum this week i do actually have a thread of hope for 343 still. my primary hobby is skyrim modding. im extremely used to being let down by game developers like bethesda over the past two decades. i’ve found 343’s reactions to various things during the mp beta to be more or less “better than i expected in 2021” and for now hope it continues through the campaign.
indeed! both on loverslab (nsfw) and nexus, listed in order of priority. right now we’re dealing with the cluster caused by SSE->AE. if this forum has a private message system or you just also happen to be on the LL discord XD
i never expected as much but i had really hoped it would be possible to drive a warthog around the entire loop. even if that meant the loop had to be smaller than it really is XD
teasers are actually less meaningful than tech demos, but okay.
I hate this stupid argument that 343i ran out of time, these fools had almost half a decade, to put this into perspective the amount of time they put into Infinite is equivalent to how long it takes to create a huge RPG world (think Bethesda/Rockstar games)
The game is not finished. They threw the campaign together at the last minute, cut everything else, and copy-pasted the last few levels to create at least some kind of conclusion to the story. You can tell that it’s nothing more than one small open world with one biome and they didn’t have time for anything else. It has nothing in common with the 2018 in-engine demo. I think that a decade or so down the line we’ll probably get to know the struggles of development and what went wrong. Until then 343 will act like they planned it this way, and sadly the mainstream media doesn’t call them out on this either. Everyone seems to disregard the fact that the game lacks many features that should be part of a Halo title, both in campaign and multiplayer.
You have to remember they only started making the game one year ago.
‘We have to delay the game’
‘Why?’
‘With been too busy grinding on destiny’
Is it me or is the opening tune to infinite when the game loads the same music as the opening to destiny when the Astronaut was on Mars climbing the rock.
I dunno where the $60 price tag already comes from. The multiplayer is supposed to be free, and I don’t want to play the F2P multiplayer so having multiplayer cosmetics to grind in the campaign was meaningless to me…
The whole game feels lazy and rushed. There are no deployable grav lifts, no grav towers, no flying enemies but some lame hovering new things that let ya shoot them in the face…There are no three way faction battles. Only one type of drop ship. Some of the most iconic weapons have been replaced by weapons that fill the exact same role, why did you not just give us the weapons we love?
343 failed hard 3 times in a row IMHO. And they also failed to make MCC playable for years. When do we get a decent Halo game? When is enough enough of 343 failing so hard?
If by everyone you means very few people than yeah. The game is literally trashed every single day by tons of different people because of its lack of features. Even looking at reviews its pretty clear that it hurt mainstream appeal not having Co-op at launch.
