Where are the Jackals?

I have yet to see any Jackals in any beta footage…will they be in the final build? If not, why?

From reading the Canon Fodder posted today, it sounds like there will be no Jackals in Halo Wars. They don’t serve in the Banished apparently. It’s a really strange exclusion if you ask me. They’re one of the three or four most iconic enemy units in the franchise.

And they are pirates so they would work with atriox if he pay him a lil rent - or they should serve him because he would kill them otherwise xD

Aren’t jackals and flamethrowers anti infantry infantry? Cobras?

It doesn’t work the same with anti-air air. The UNSC have a big advantage when it comes to anti-air because Wolverines completely dominate Vampires. It was very unfair to say the least.

The difference is that the UNSC had alternatives. Tank v tank warfare was very common, and Gremlins along with Hornets dealt with tanks very well. The Covies don’t have an AA alternative. Grunts are wayyy too slow.

UNSC didn’t have AA alternatives either… the wolverine, that’s it. Marines were just as slow unless you were cutter and could ODST’s drop. The leaders/factions aren’t supposed to be even on all fronts. They both have their strengths and weaknesses.

I DON’T KNOW! I assumed they would have been in Let Volir’s faction BUT NOOOOO! Let’s make so all factions have the exact same -Yoinking!- units like everyone else! What the -Yoink- were they thinking! Every covenant facion only has different hero units, THAT’S IT! Concerning UNSC it seems only Anders has the most unique (but very much -Yoink-) units which she should not have access to.

Halo Wars 2 is blasphemy to the RTS genre. I can’t believe CA -Yoinked!- up so bad. Never in my 11+ years of RTS gaming have I ever seen factions having exactly all the same units, buildings and aesthetic wise as all the other same race factions. Halo Wars 1 has more different units than Halo Wars 2 for -Yoink- sake! Halo Wars 1 is the most simplest and tiniest of all RTS games.

Operator error I’d say. Stasis beam can completely disable an entire army of air. Whereas Wolverines and still susceptible to incoming attacks.

If Stasis works, that is. Which is rare as any Covie player knows. Wolverines have a volley ability that can decimate bases and infantry. We can play this game all day. Wolverines are far superior to Vampires in the end.

I never said they werent. I’m just saying to say that vampires are completely worthless is false. They fill their role just fine.

Do you have any proof that all Banished leaders have the same units? From what I understand, this information was not yet released.

Plus, we already know that Let Volir has Ghosts, while the Brutes don’t. Seems like at least one difference to me.

Perhaps I’m overly enthusiastic when bashing Vamps. They fill their role, but leave something to be desired. I’l leave it at that.

Dont use them against wolverine… Against hornets. And if your enemy is Anders just wait and step aside when Cryobomb is incoming
