Why is it that in each Halo game, some guns are added, and some are removed?
Bungie did this, 343 does this, but why?
Why not just keep all the vehicles, all the guns, all the weapons and just keep adding to them in each Halo game without removing anything? It would be so much fun to have an arsenal that gets larger and larger without shrinking.
They’re right here flexes
But seriously, because each game has its own weapon sandbox. Development doesn’t work on a past+X basis. The developer re-evaluates what they want, what fits into that framework, and what doesn’t.
hmmm
the only things removed between H4 were the armor abilities and Sticky Nade Launcher and the concussion rifle
That sticky nade launcher was great. I liked that gun.
Sometimes it’s lore related reasons. I believe the BR wasn’t in Reach because in the lore it wasn’t created yet.

Halo: Contact Harvest would like a word with you.

Yeah, dont get me wrong. I do like all the guns and weapons we have. I just never understood why bungie/343 removed guns each game. It would be so much more awesome if they never removed anything and just kept adding to the fun.

Because they are trying to keep the game feeling fresh and new. Hence the updates.

Well there is that, but I am talking about all the Halo’s, not just 5 itself.
Mechanics, frames, popularity of the weapons possibly.
