Maybe they’re just waiting for Halo 6 to come out with the flaming helmets. I also miss the Rogue & EOD from H3. & Hayabusa… I’ve heard many things about that helmet. Like they coouldn’t get the rights to it? But from who? Bungie? :S I’m so confused…

the katana was dumb because it was of no use what so ever. Never understood why it was ever there. A katana has never been used in the game, would have been cool if it was. But now, they should never use it in the game as there is no lore to it(that I know of).

I would however like to see EOD come back, seeing as it was in Halo 4. I’d be great to see some of the older armours come back too like Rogue that you mentioned, and CQB (some of the Reach armours would be great too).
I do miss my flaming helmet from Reach.
But it would make sense only if used in the same way as per Reach, where the red flames was really exclusive

Those Challenges was were the best! Specially the one on four ghosts, on legendary with iron! Always one dude who screwed up on the last bit!

We could say the same about the “Samurai” themed armors.
Assassinations with the katana would be cool I think.
I never liked armor effects, it just looks ridiculous.

i only heard but yes they cant get the rights to the name, but supposedly they are coming back out with that armor just calling it something different

Not me, I hate hearing that little pop anf blast of confetti. I’m glad it’s gone.
Flaming helmets look cool but I think you just become somebodies headshot magnet.
As for Hayabusa, I’m glad I’ll probably never see that damn armor again. Just because it was overused by everyone because it took almost no effort to get. Don’t get me wrong I thought it was a cool armor to have but man it was like the only armor besides recon that people bragged about.
I mean wow you spent an hour to collect skulls in the campaign and maybe 4 to 6 hours collecting achievements for the katana------ bravo sir bravo.
Now go do endure on odst and get that recon armor then I might clap for you.
Closest you will get to Hayabusa right now is Shinobi and that armor actually looks pretty cool, but as for one of the halo 3 favorites I highly doubt we will ever see hyabusa again.

It just makes you feel good when you head shot a little grunt. Nothing makes you feel tougher. Haha
Also I’ll post something about the other half of your topic since I kinda jumped on the armor subject instead.
I loved the flaming helms and armor effects, wouldn’t mind seeing them again. Maybe if it was in halo 5 they wouldn’t have them enabled in arena since they’re a huge distraction.
Either way people hated them because it didn’t have anything to do with halo, was belly aching about how much credits it would cost them to get one, or acted like it made a difference in their game experience due to having a hard time aiming for the head… (idk how since aim assist help with that)
Overall they were a neat cosmetic to have.

Actually, Grunt Birthday Party is still a thing. You can get the skull on the mission Reunion (when Blue Team arrives on Genesis) by going up and to the right when you first fight Covenant. You’ll find a Grunt sitting on a ledge and singing. Going up to him and holding X will cause you to kick him off the cliff and catch the skull in his hand, granting you Grunt Birthday Party.
