Where are the Flag Skins?

A few months back 343i announced new weapon skins for the countries that were participating in the HWC 2018. The skins were supposed to be available when the event eventually rolled around to your country. Today, and until Sunday, is the event for North America. So where is the American flag skin?

I’ve heard the US flag skin will be the final one available, so based off that I assume it will be available when the HWC comes back around to the US at the end.

Assuming that the packs are along the same lines as the standard HCS pack - the one that gives you Athlon Champion and the HCS Contender skins - the country flag skins will possibly be available for either $9.99 or 100,000 REQ points. We’ll just have to find out when the UK skins hit the market.

But if you’re really strapped on time and REQ points, consider getting the Sell REQs extension for Google Chrome to sell your REQs in bulk. It’s helped many people in the past.

The original version was shutdown for copyright reasons regarding the use of “Halo” in its name. The current version came back under a new name back in December and it’s pretty much here to stay.

SERIOUSLY!!! so sick of this stuff. should the Olympics ban each countries flag?? I mean what the heck are people thinking with this…baffled

I appreciate that they are trying to handle the situation with care, but this really doesn’t seem like the right move to me. These skins have been anticipated for a while, and I highly doubt anyone would be that offended. Country flags have very little to do with the situation.

Lots of folks worked hard to make the decorative decals, and we know that players were anticipating them in the spirit of fun and competition in which they were originally intended, however, we feel that releasing these items now would be inappropriate. The rest of our HaloWC tournament activity will continue as planned, and we’d like to take this moment to say simply, “be good to each other.”

I assume that they mean that someone would’ve found them offensive for some reason?

I’m still not entirely sure why they’ve been held back, I thought that it was a HCS related issue when they first said that there was problems with the skins.
