It seems like 343i has abandoned these two character classes completely. Brutes and their weapons have completely disappeared replaced with things like hydra launchers and ground pound. The ODSTs at least get a passing nod with armor variants that barley live up to the reputation of the group. Will 343i ever bring back these groups? Tell me what you think.
Many ODST became Spartan-IVs.
well the Brutes are defeated if you don’t remember at the end of Halo 3 on mission The Ark. That was the Brutes final stand with Prophet of Truth, but there is a point they should’ve kept the Brutes in Halo they where fun to fight, & odst, I have no idea why they took them out of Halo, they were a main part of Halo. I actually think that most odsts became Spartans-IV’s.
The Brutes got defeated in H3. And even though the Odsts became spartan 4s, it would be nice to see them at least once.
Brutes are still around, to an extent. They are present in Shadow of Intent as well as Last Light, which both take place in 2553. They are also in the game Spartan Strike, which is 2557, I believe. Finally, there are rumours of Brute clans gathering strength in the corners of the Orion Arm, continuing the work of the original Covenant (source: Halopedia, Jiralhanae article). And I think there is still ODSTs as late as 2558, including an attachment on the Infinity (again, check Halopedia for details).

The story of the Brutes and the ODST are far from over some ODST became weak Spartans but ODST still its own thing. Brutes will be back just wait.

theres only handful of odst that join the program there are still more odst than spartans it just that odst havent shown on screen yet while the brutes busy killing each other
