How could a conflict between the Banished and UNSC be possible if Cortana’s intention was to uphold the Mantle? She states that she will bring peace (freedom, security, and justice to her new Empire) to the galaxy, and only act against those that resist. There should only be conflict between the Created, and whomever is rebelling against them. Can the Banished have really fought against her forces? Really? She made The Infinity flee through slip-space, and making random jumps. What are some Brutes on a Halo going to do?
Obviously, we don’t know where she is, as we’ve only seen about the first 15 minutes of the game in total. This is more so speculative about a possible plot hole.

I’m sure she is in the game and her relation to it wont be revealed till later, but for the fun of it I’ll just say, She dead, The Banished banished her yoink
I bet they’re all at the snackbar getting their popcorn with extra butter.
Given how little we seen, I’m sure its safe to say the Created story isn’t going away. As Duranu Lithdel said, I think the game will probably introduce us to the Banished first and then show Cortana’s involvement in the overall story later into the plot. I have a hunch that there’s more going on between the Banished and the Created than we know as of now, but I think there’s a little hint people have sort of overlooked that could hint towards something between the two factions.
Either way, we’re going to have to wait till more info comes out to give a hard answer to where the Created are as of rn. Best guess is off policing the galaxy, trying to take control of the rings with whatever factions joined the Created.
