WHERE ARE ALL THE PEOPLE?!?!?!

Seriously 343 im sick of having to schedule some of my day around when people are going to be on halo, when I used to get matches within 3 minutes of searching. Now I have to wait more than 10 at certain hours. I think its BS that the we the once strong Halo community have just dumped this and gone, over problems that we had hindsight about after reach.

Seriously if the numbers show that people are leaving or not playing bring back some at home incentive for the love of this game. People need a reason to play other than “its halo” because I have been playing online since 2006 and am really starting to get bored. In game ranks(Halo 3) and a extremely high and hard to cap SR (Reach) aren’t really that much to ask for and its probably too late to do bring people back with those mechanisms, but its still worth a try and not worth losing anymore people in.

I really dont want this game to be dead when the xbox one comes out. “Its time to move on” IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME! I have played, loved and put so much time into this game to turn to another game now would be just damn stupid. I for one am never going to stop complaining and pushing till these things happen. Someone has to do it before this game gets below 10k people!

After hitting the post button im filled with immediate regret due to the fact no one here probably gives a crap, or no one here that reads this has any power to do anything. Making it a rage post. Sorry for puking my feelings all over any of you… I dont like to be a rage lord.

You’re wasting time if you’re hoping that 343i is going to “fix” Halo 4. The game is as good as it’s going to get; its remaining problems are too core to the game to be fixed or changed, and the large population that left is never going to come back to Halo 4. What you’re basically asking them to do is make an entirely new game, and that’s exactly what they’re doing.

Playing GTA5 mostly. I’ve been playing Halo 3 lately as I find it much more fun than Halo 4. With the new consoles releasing soon it’s only going to get worse.

of course then OvercastZeus28 would have to buy an xbox1 on top of just buying an xbox to play the new game (wont call it Halo till i see how it does before buying it). as for OvercastZeus28 returning it, na play the game, campaighn is good, and sparten ops is good the first time through, the multi-player that depends on the lag, no lag then its good, if there is lag then its just frustrating

Probably playing the battlefield 4 beta…

I swear a single playlist in that beta has more consistent population than all of halo 4

It’s a real shame, isn’t it?
Halo has fallen so far.
Hopefully, 343 will do what is right.

To Zeus:
I suggest you return Halo 4 and download Halo 3 for FREE on the Marketplace.
Also, using the money you’ll get for returning Halo 4, you can buy ODST.
ODST comes with the Halo 3 Mythic disc.
Mythic includes all DLC on disc.

And if you already have Halo 3 and ODST, I suggest pre-ordering Destiny or BF4.

It does. I played the beta with my brother and had more fun in it (zero Lag) than I ever have in H4 - and that’s despite the limited weapon choices and lack of HD textures. I have since ordered it and am waiting to learn how to fly the chopper in a less hostile environment before going to combat. Vehicles, infantry, swimming, skydiving with combat and no lag is just a riot.

I suspect everyone has or will be switching to other games (GTA 5, BF4 COD Ghosts) rather than playing H4. And for those wanting a Halo Fix, there is Reach or H3 now - so the numbers will never go up.

If you think the population is bad now wait til the Xbox One drops in November. Lack of backwards compat + the high price of the console will mean a lot of people that are upgrading will be using their 360 as part exchange (speaking for the UK). Kind of sad that Microsoft will have killed one of their flagship games.

Am I the only one that doesn’t seem to have a problem finding games in a reasonable amount of time?

> Am I the only one that doesn’t seem to have a problem finding games in a reasonable amount of time?

No. I play with my team all time, and we find matches just fine. There’s just those people who think Halo 4 is dead because they see a low population. The population numbers mean nothing if you find a match just fine. And to be honest, a low population is the last of my concerns.

> The population numbers mean nothing if you find a match just fine.

I would think a skrinking population also shrinks the chances you have of playing on the DLC maps you pay for. I can’t even recall the last time I played on a Crimson, Majestic or even Castle map.

We all know now never to buy DLC map packs, because they are never played or voted for.

And even if you want to support the game, you can’t. Sucks don’t it?

Yes it does… I have lost my feelings for Halo 4. Halo 4 use to seem awesome, now I’m just really upset and disappointed in it. I try not to think of all the mistakes that 343 made, but it’s hard not to.

Man I hate to think of the population in 3 months…all the new stuff coming out it will be a ghost town.

I wonder if they’re going to consolidate the playlists to accommodate for the lower numbers? Partially agree with all points on this thread so far, population isn’t be all end all if you find a game, but variety is the spice of life and playing the same players over and over again due to extremely low numbers on the playlist you like can be very disheartening, even more so if they’re much better at the game than yourself.

Killing Legendary Dragons in Skyrim, gun-jousting in cars with guns on GTA V, BF 4 Beta, playing previous Halos, and some real life stuff. Or just got fed up with Halo 4.

I’m not sure what it is, but it’s definitely true that Halo 4 doesn’t take priority for me any more. With Reach, I played it practically every day between its launch and Halo 4’s release (still not a max rank, for the record), but with Halo 4 I don’t feel the same incentive to play every day. It’s a good game for sure, and maybe it’s just because other games are taking up my time now like Borderlands 2 and GTA V, but I think that what it lacks is that Halo community feeling. I honestly blame the poor custom game settings, because game nights with friends was part of what brought me to play Reach every day. There was always someone playing a custom game lobby that I could hop right into and know it would be something unique and fun, but with Halo 4 there’s just nobody playing customs. Because, frankly, custom game settings are MORE advanced in Halo: Reach. So there, that’s why I’ve been playing Reach instead of Halo 4 recently. Not because Halo 4 is a bad game, but because it lacks the close-community feeling that Reach had (and honestly, still has.)

> Man I hate to think of the population in 3 months…all the new stuff coming out it will be a ghost town.

Unfortunately, that’s the harsh truth. We just have to have high hopes for Halo 5. And if Halo 5 looks bad in any way, then I’ll be done with Halo. I will move on to Destiny…
