When your whole team quits, what do you do (Arena)

Just wondering what other players do when their whole team quits.

I just finished my placement matches in Swat and the final match was arguably the most frustrating match I’ve ever played. 2 players AFK as soon as the game starts and kicked for inactivity, 2nd player left in 2 minutes and I was effectively spawn trapped on Truth. Since I don’t like to quit, I chose to try anyway since I figure that would be less detrimental to my placement than an outright quit.

So what do others do? Do you all stay and tough it out or is it just better to quit and try again?

I stay.
Because I dont want to give the other team an free win.

Just have fun if you can. Whenever 3 players on an enemy team quit, I find the last player’s hiding spot and try trick jumps with them, and other stuff (like activate the giant worm on The Rig).

I would stay and take out as many of them as I can and not let them get a free/easy win

I hide every life and try to get a kill each death so I don’t go super negative.

It’s annoying for the other team, but I want the xp, rp, and I don’t like having DNF’s in my game history.

I play until the match is over. I’m no quitter.

I keep playing. For every time I’m stuck in a game where my entire team has quit on me, I’ve played a game where the entire enemy team save for one guy quits. This is my opportunity to make someone else suffer as I have. Perhaps not a great mindset to have in such a situation, but the satisfaction is unparalleled

Luckily for you it was in SWAT where a single player can actually hold their own, at least to a degree, against multiple opponents.

On the personal side, I’m almost never the first person to quit a match unless its out of my hands and as long as there’s still a sense of competitiveness to the match after others have left or the match’s score or time limit is nearing completion I’ll definitely stick around. Now that there’s no ban penalty (credit) for leaving if others have already left I may or may not quit a match in the early goings (usually not SWAT) if there’s zero sense of competitiveness and there’s a long ways to go (aka giant waste of time that’s also aggravating) because sometimes I have a limited amount of time play and I don’t want to spend it in a match like that.

It depends. If I’m using a boost, then I’ll most likely stay and probably just hide or play defensively. In Swat, I would probably play normally since it would be easier to get a kill. If the enemy team was farming, then I’ll usually stay and hide just to annoy them. Other times I’ll quit if I’m not in the mood to deal with that.

I throw my controller at my Tv…

Go hide and do the best you can… You’re going to go negative unless the other team is really bad. Then join a company so have others to team up with…lol. If you just get spawn killed every time screw it and save some frustration… Quit. The first one to quit gets dinged from what I hear.

What do I do when my whole team quits in Arena? I get absolutely destroyed, tbagged, double teamed, sniped, perfected, trash talked, etc. It’s all in good fun, right? ::::))))

If the whole team quits then so do I. I used to stay no matter what, and thought there was a sense of honor in it. Anymore, I just think of it as annoying when that last person refuses to quit. It’s really just a waste of everybody’s time.

Now if just one person leaves or two I will stay. If that last guy wants to play it out I won’t abandon them. I was pretty happy when they implemented the no penalty quit ban in ranked. It is refreshing to have the choice now, and not have to worry about being quit banned.

Is a 4v1 ever not a free win?

Does this lead to a sense of accomplishment or a sense of frustration?

How many TVs has this cost you???

In a 4v1 situation why on earth would you even care about whether you’re annoying the people on the other team??? To me it seems like it might be the one good reason to stay…

I just enjoy playing Halo. I play until the end no matter how the match turns out. Sometimes you feel accomplished when you do well, other times frustrated when you don’t, but that’s all just part of the game and I accept that. Also if I quit I would lose out on xp from the match and my current goal is to get to SR152.

I quit and encourage everyone to quit in that situation also. It’s a waste of everyone’s time to stay. The outcome is decided, there is no competition, and it’s not fun hunting down that one player just to double team them and kill them. You can prove how awesome a person you are somewhere else, please save everyone some time and quit.

If it’s a waste of time to hunt down the last remaining player on a team, there’s always the option for the team in the lead to quit the game instead of having their time wasted

Why would anyone want to give up the win? That’s just crazy talk!

Seriously, it serves no real purpose to stay if you are the last player. Unless you are a god, Halo player, and can pull it off to solo a comeback then it is just obnoxious to stay.

If I am playing against an unorganized team where its not 1v4 every gunfight its 1v1 or 2v1 then I stay and try to get as many kills as possible if they are organized sweats then I just leave

In my case they knew exactly what they were doing. Granted Midship isn’t exactly difficult to lock down but when you don’t have to worry about other players, it was pretty easy for them to have me spawn trapped almost instantly. I would be dead or under fire within a second. There were moments when I would somehow be able to take down whichever player I spawned in front of but most of the time I just got slaughtered. Not enough time to assess, react and shoot compared to a set spawn location.
