Truth is, I am as fascinated as you guys are about the reception H5 got - I hated the campaign and the team mechanic but thought Warzone was OK (though only on the rare occasions I could get together with a enough friends online - most are on PS4 now).
Watching the two sides argue the toss about game mechanics, req cards, the Halo canon etc is kinda fun. I’ll admit to goading a few opinionated and ill informed idiots over the last couple of weeks.
At the end of the day it’s all about entertainment, and with H4 and subsequently H5 I was simply not entertained. 343 had their chance, now I am no longer going to invest in Halo while it’s under their control. I believe my point of view may represent the majority right now, but i’m sure - we’ll find out sooner or later, I guess.
By the way the $400 Million in sales quoted by MS were on shipped units, not actual units sold. The VG industry has long and away used questionable terminology and sales projections to boost the perceived numbers of AAA titles at launch. I’ve worked in VG distribution and sales so I know what tricks get pulled.
