I played a game of Grifball today and I noticed the other team being slow. Slow as in only one playing, and what do you know im playing with seven kids boosting.
I had many options at this point. Boost with them like a noob, I could quit, I could try to score, or I could betray them for what they are doing. So with all of that I went with option four.
Nothing sickens me more then getting in a game with people boosting so I messed them up good. I stole atleast 30 assassinations off them while betraying them I had the chance to score but my ball skills are not that good, so they got me. So I wasn’t going to let them kill me any more I went back to betraying them.
Of course I could have just quit but somone else who is hungrey for assassinations might join the game and join them in boosting. Anyways what do you do in this situation?
Quick question here (something I’ve always wondered about):
Does betraying in Grifball negatively affect your betrayal record for the game in general?
Because from what I’ve read if you have a bad betrayal record then people get the option to boot you straight away even if you only betray them once in a game (e.g. Team slayer/BTB).
If it does affect it then you’re probably better off just quitting out in future rather than betraying them over and over.
I joined many games of Regicide where parties were boosting and I ended up easily winning or at least placing second… Even though I joined in progress. Most players who boost are usually very bad at the game from what I’ve found.

I don’t see why people are so iffy about boosting, they’re most likely doing it for armor, and even if it does boost their K/D, it’ll go back down when they’re done boosting.

It’s not a problem if they do it in a filled lobby.
It’s not my job to stop boosting, it’s 343 job and if they don’t care enough to ban people who boost why should i care enough to stop them, they will just boost the next game i’m not in.
If it was for achievements like the Castle DLC “Assassinate someone with a hardlight-shield” or Crimson DLC “Now They Fly”, I would let it slide or help because those achievement are pure ridiculous and require extreme luck.
Weapon boosting
I dunno, I’ll probably leave them alone (all my weapons are at Distinguish, Mastery or Mastered)
Spartan XP boosting
I will shred them and end the game
> I’ll quit, if there’s too many of them, but it’s never really my business. Besides, I’m usually more concerned about spawnkilling than boosting.

If you’re getting pushed back into your spawn by the enemy team, your team is being outplayed. Like it or not its a legit strategy.
