When you buy dlc....

When you buy dlc, there is no information that you can only play it when 343 give playlist. Can i now get my money back for war game pass? I did not play more then 2 H all 3 dlc’s. And if i want i cant…

I’ll agree that DLC maps not showing up in regular playlists is a problem, but ever since the Crimson map pack launched, there have been DLC playlists. I played a bunch of matches on DLC maps because of those playlists.

Heck, I play the maps regularly on normal MM playlists. As soon as I downloaded them, they showed up once every 2 games or so.

You’re not getting your money back, all sales are final according to Microsoft. Honestly though, if more people bought the maps you’d likely run into them more.

One important info you can find is the one about No Refunds, it’s at the top of the info list on each item you purchase on Live.

> One important info you can find is the one about No Refunds, it’s at the top of the info list on each item you purchase on Live.

Why then 343 did not say no play and no refunds? You can’t play this content and you will not get your money back?

You can play the maps, they just come up only when everyone else in the lobby has the maps, the fact other people didn’t get them isn’t 343i’s fault… And you can’t get a refund because those are Microsoft’s rules on downloadable content, not 343is.

> Why then 343 did not say no play and no refunds? You can’t play this content and you will not get your money back?

You can play the DLC in Matchmaking playlists if you make a party of 7 other players who have DLC, in DLC playlists, and Custom Games.

Seems like you mostly play big team. Since it needs every player in the lobby to have the maps for them to come up, your odds of getting all 16 players to have the maps are greatly reduced. To say you can’t play them is just flat out made up.

I have halo 4 from pre order and i never get any dlc map beside dlc playlist…

If they aren’t making the maps available for play but charging for them, you may have a legitimate grievance. Get enough people together, and you can likely get your money back, though you’d probably be blocked from playing said maps online. In every other FPS, if you download map packs you get to play them regularly. By deviating from that norm and not explicitly stating they would do so, 343/Microsoft may have violated their contract with you as the consumer.

I have to agree on Cobra with this one. MS is very tricky and straight forward in sales. Especially when it comes to in-game content, once you buy it, a refund would be considered “invalid” to MS.

That is what i want, that i can play map pack when i wont, not when 343 wont…

You will not be able to get your money back from 343 / -Yoink!-… or it is VERY unlikely. I know you’re frustrated, we all are.

They have seriously done tremendous damage to themselves at this point with the abysmal handling of DLC.

It really is sad and along with lag issues has lost Halo tons (literally) of players / fans.

But the maps ARE available. The DLC has been integrated into every playlist, meaning they are usable in game. Plus there is a rotational monthly DLC playlist where each map pack shows for an entire month to play on it. I play on the DLC semi-regularly even without the DLC playlists, specially in Action Sack. The only way DLC maps don’t have a chance of showing is if at least 1 person in the lobby doesn’t have DLC. If that happens it wont show as a voting option. But due to the low population of the game, and the amount of non-DLC owners, the chances of people getting DLC is reduced. This is something beyond 343’s control and cannot be helped. There is a search window that looks for DLC owners when finding a game, but because of the above reasons, this window is also short due to the lack of DLC owners.

Nowhere does it state on the description in the marketplace that you are guaranteed to play on the content. If it said this, then fair enough. But the fact is it doesn’t, so 343 are doing nothing wrong. Because of the reasons I have stated, Microsoft/343 are in no way violating the terms of the purchase contract made by anyone who purchases the DLC. Before they made most of the playlists DLC required, Bungie did the exact same thing with all their Halo games. If everyone had the DLC it showed. If they didn’t have it, it didn’t show. It seems that people are chastising 343 for doing this, yet Bungie were doing the same thing years before and nothing was said.

I distinctly remember not being able to continue playing Halo 2 and 3 online because I hadn’t shelled out for the map packs. And the last time I played Reach, my options were also very limited by my lack of DLC.

A DLC playlist is coming out and Majestic is now required for Infinity Slayer. Read the Bulletins before you complain. Also, Xbox live always clearly states “No refunds”. Oh and while 343 never stated that you would only play the maps when a playlist is up, they never stated the opposite; that you would get to play them all the time.

I want to play castle map pack not the Majestic…
“If you own Halo 4’s “War Game Map Pass,” DO NOT purchase this content here as you will be charged again. Daybreak is set in a military facility against the backdrop of an idyllic mountain range, while Outcast plunges you into the warrens, canyons and arches of an alien edifice, and Perdition takes players into the heart of an urban sprawl, with tactical speed and situational awareness its key features.”
There is no word for that “Oh and while 343 never stated that you would only play the maps when a playlist is up”…

Because you can play it on big team playlists? Someone on this forum told me to prefer players on xbox who have dlc.

That was your problem then. If you didn’t buy DLC, your options were limited as to what you could play. But now, you can play almost anything and still not have to buy the DLC.
