I know there are more pressing matters for the game like desync and other problems, but I still wanna know when we’ll get assassinations. They were my favorite feature that Reach added, so it being a missing feature from previous games does bother me a bit. I know a lot of people dislike assassinations, at least for the competitive side, but it would still be nice for them to return. I hope if they do end up making a road map for the community, that assassinations would be in there, and would atleast be introduced soon.
When they ran out of ideas and crap to sell in the store and have managed to adjust the awesome UI…sooooo…maybe a few years down the line?

After they fix the game and add in other content that far more important then glorified back slaps…
I know, thats why i acknowledged it by saying " i know there are more pressing matters like desync", ive had plenty of run-ins with desync and random crashes. Still wanna know when a feature that was in the past 3 games will come to the current one. Asking for a roadmap, not asking for them to be added immediately.

They talked about assassinations last year.
They weren’t a priority because every man and their dog literally turned them off.
If they can work out how to make them functional I’m sure they would happily bring them back. More stuff to sell.
Not sure what you mean by functional, literally gave people an option to turn it off. Ive never had a problem with assassinations, tap to backsmack, hold to assassinate.

Most people had them on. You sound like some MLG kid who thinks those people make up the majority of the community.
They didn’t put them in because they “Finished” this game flying by the seat of their pants and had no time.

I think what they (343) meant was making them more usable in game. The problem is that the majority of people just turned then off.
No point in getting angry or all rampagy with me. This was what 343 said pre-release… In one of the post insider interviews.

I’m not angry. These anecdotal arguments are just tiresome. “People turn then off anyway” BS! No they don’t! How many times I have to die because some fool would rather get an assassination than just shoot a guy chasing after me.
There are literal “Assassination only” playtypes in customs that are always filled with players.
343 can go kick rocks with their “Stats”. Here’s a stat for you, how many good games has 343 made? How many times have they lied?

They were amazing in halo 5. You were able to shut them off when you want to.
There were plenty of cool ones. And you can change how fast they can be done in the custom games options.
I really hope we get all of that back and more. I didn’t use it as much but when I did it was a nice addition to the game to have. I don’t think it will hinder gameplay if there is a toggle option for it
Bad teammates are bad teammates. No assinaitions won’t help that. I’ve seen people waste time trying to pick up equipment instead of help so it doesn’t really matter. People will waste time reguardless

i like to see then also return in the halo game.
and i hope we can use then also then in the campaign mode and not only multiplayer.

And don’t get me wrong. I loved assassinations. Especially the one where you stick the player, swing them by the feet, and then throw them into the air for the explosion.
But if most players turned them off or weren’t using them - I can see how they weren’t a priority.
And it sounds like 343 liked them too; “We actually really love assassinations… but what happens at a lot of levels is people just turn them off because there’s a gameplay disadvantage to it.”
I hope they do. I would definitely buy them. But until then a good old fashioned -Yoink!- will have to suffice.
