So it been 6 months since it been the release of Flood Firefight in mcc. Which it also introduce Campaign Crossplay COOP for Halo 3 and ODST campaign, as it gave players the ability to play with pc players if you were playing off your Xbox console, which in vice versa be pc players playing with xbox players off of there pc. Which is honestly a really great move by 343 as it was pretty sad that you could only do crooplay on Halo MCC multiplayer modes, Forge and Firefight but never campaign. As with campaign on MCC before the update drop you would had to be on the same platform as your friend to play COOP with them. Which Is sad tbh as I know we got friends that wants to play coop with you in the halo story on MCC whether if that was halo ce, halo 2, halo 3, odst, reach or even halo 4 both main story and spartan ops, but you would have to be on the same platform and not everyone wants to get a xbox or even a pc to and to also buy the game again just to be able to play with the friend that on that certain platform to play coop with online.
Now being that mcc Has the ability to do campaign crossplay online coop on Halo 3 and odst campaign which like I mention was added in 6 months ago. When are we going to get this exact feature in Halo CE, 2, Reach and halo 4 main campaign and spartan ops? As I know for a fact that the whole feature was a success and if there any complaint that lot of people were having lag issues when playing crossplay wise. Let me fresh you on this there was always gonna be lag regardless it mainly due to connection and online coop had that issue for a long long back in the OG versions to where halo reach coop on 360 was unplayable due to connections mostly. But yea I hope this feature gets added in pretty soon in the rest of mcc campaigns. As we all know Halo infinite is gonna have Campaign Coop crossplay to play with xbox and pc players in the campaign.

I’m just hoping for Campaign Coop Matchmaking because if that happens, it would force 343 get crossplay for all of the Campaigns (and Spartan Ops) since they would have to have Matchmaking populated from all platforms on this mode.
If campaign matchmaking were to ever come back (and believe me it most likely won’t) it wouldn’t force 343 to do anything.
Halo 3’s implementation of cross play coop is pretty shakey since it’s still the same netcode. I am curious if the long wait for the other tiles has anything to do with how unstable CE and H2c are in networked coop. It’s impossible to complete either title without it crashing online.
Well if it was unstable, it would of been unstable on both platforms of mcc coop campaign. As well of the multiplayer on both crossplay and same platform wise. As all the 360s cooping was very unstable for online campaign. Don’t know how it was on halo 2 on vista and xbox original.
It is unstable on both platforms. Have you tried playing Oracle in H2C coop? Almost all the arbiter levels crash at consistent places. The reason why they are unstable is because neither their original PC versions (H2V and HCE PC) nor original Xbox versions supported networked coop. These features were added in CEA and H2A and don’t seem to be as robust as later titles. The older titles most likely need bug fixes to make them more cross play friendly.
Halo 3 networked coop and onward isn’t amazing but it’s better. You can at least count on it not to crash.

Beats me would be nice if we gotten them already lol. As It makes me sad that mods only for pc and xbox users that doesn’t have a pc can’t be able to play it. Which is very very sad.
I feel like Spartan-ops from Halo 4 was such a unique and special way to implement like a seasonality that was missed. I wish something like that would come back into Halo and stay in Halo.
I totally agree with this. As me and a good halo friend I play with that likes halo 4 spartan ops was hoping that halo infinite would do some time of Spartan ops event on the live events. As I had a nice idea of like our multiplayer spartans fending off a attack from the banished at the academy.
But it sad I play destiny 2 and the multiplayer guardians particatpates in the pve modes for the seasonal story and is shown in the cutscenes and such.
