When will we be charged for UE Digital Pre-Order?

So, normally when you pre-order a game digitally, Xbox doesn’t charge until 7-10 days before the full game comes out (which would be in February). But now the DE of Halo Wars 1 is coming on the 20th, so what does that mean? Will we get a code to play the original Halo Wars for two months, get charged in February as usual, and if something happens at that point (bad charge, cancelled pre-order, etc) MS takes away your Halo Wars DE? Or will we be charged for the entire thing next week?

Would like to know, as I could use that $80 for Christmas gifts instead of my Halo Wars 2 pre-order that I wasn’t expecting to go through just yet. #budgeting

In the UK you pay the whole amount immediately.

If using xbox currency instant charge if by card usually a week or two, however usual xbox policy is if you recieve a incentive or core part you pay upon release so if UE for card purchase I imagine latest by 20th.
