So many people have complained about this, and it is something that is needed if the game wants to live -IMO-True Skill and matchmaking! Is there reasons why they don’t add it? Is it because the population is too small? Is 343i worried about it taking the population away from HW2? Are they concerned for boosters? Do they think this system that they have in place is better? Is it server space they don’t want to maintain? Would they ever stop the x360 servers so that the Xbox community for HW1 isn’t split up?
I’m just getting sick of playing people who make Spartans and try to get veterancy, and preach about how they were a General in the original. Then a group of hogs destroys their Spartans, then they rage quit and message me for being a yoink! Yoink! Rusher… next game I get removed from the lobby, have become black labeled by those individuals until they forget my name. For what… making warthogs and denying expos… if I host a game no one wants to join, and I sit in the lobby until a friend or two get online so we can chat for 15 minutes until the lobby fills up.
The leaderboards dont mean anything. People cherry pick games to make sure they win, and everyone picks the best leaders for the map. You would need everyone to random all for some kind of mystery. The game gets stale when everyone and their dog plays Fort Deen. I loved thinking on the fly on what my team was going to do on the map that was randomly picked, and countering the enemy at the start of the game from their unknown leaders. Instead of “yes, the opponent picked prophet, hopefully he stays so we can swiss cheese his base”. Or in 2v2 “let’s hope they stay double covy, and let’s make gauss hogs for days.” Great example. 2v2 Memorial Basin, if this map is even ever picked it’s full of everyone playing forge, how fun… In the original not too many people would go into 2v2 matchmaking with Forge because of his disadvantages on a majority of Maps.
Turtling has become fairly easy. Host a lobby. Make sure no one picks cutter, boot anyone that picks him. Rinse and repeat.
I just would like to me to know if they plan on adding it later or never. And It’s seems like never.
