When will the MLG playlist be added?

The more I hear about Halo 4, the more I’m disgusted with it.

With that said, with the faster movement speed and the return of the BR, I look forward to the MLG playlist.

Now it seemed to take forever in Reach before they even released the playlist (still sucked because of bloom and poor weapon balance). How long will it take in Halo 4?

Personally, I will purchase this game when the MLG playlist is released in Marchmaking, not until then.

MLG won’t have AA’s, random weapon drops, load outs, probably will exclude default sprint, and the custom maps that will be added to it will be better than any map to ship with this game.

In short, 343i should actually pay attention to MLG more, instead of pretending to.

Thanks.

Holy -Yoink-. Another thread.

…so why bother buying Halo 4 then?

I really don’t know when it will be added…

The one in Reach was added post-release. So it might not come with the game.

But would you settle with a barebones playlist instead?

I think 343i will have developed some “Team Hardcore” settings for the MLG Halo 4 tournament around November 4th.

Halo is the only community I’ve encountered where this kind of behavior occurs and it’s disgusting.

The MLG playlist will come out post-release like it always has and only the people at MLG only know when it will be out and what will be put into it. But I don’t see the point if you want the same experience as Halo 3, just go play Halo 3. You won’t be missed.

Just don’t be surprised if MLG decides to be actually open minded about Halo 4 and incorporates features that identify Halo 4 as Halo 4.

You really that optimistic about MLGs response to Halo 4?

No and I don’t care. But MLG kept Sprint and Bloom in for most of Halo: Reach’s life, so there’s a minuscule chance that some mechanic of Halo 4 will be in the MLG playlist.

Only reason it was in there, was because they didn’t have the option to remove it.

Trust me. MLG won’t implement noobish things in their playlist. They are competitive players, after all.

Shows what you know. MLG pros have been playing Vanilla Halo 4 for a while and they LIKE the ordinance drops, the new, less impactive AAs, and the way sprint works now, and will actually tinker around with them in the full game, and try to make them work competitively.

Also the 2 maps Haven and Adrift got alot of MLG love.

Fail.

You have to keep in mind, MLG really liked Shadowrun. They played it for a while, and only dropped it because of an extremely low casual player population. Shadowrun was all about balancing different spawn abilities, and weapons, and having good performance in game pay off with better weapons and abilities.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Sprint was included in MLG’s Halo 4 settings. I know I’m pushing for its consideration. I don’t see ordnance drops, loadouts or perks making it in, though. Of course, I don’t haz time machine, so I could be wrong.

You can remove sprint in Reach.

With any luck, never.

You must’ve watched Naded’s opinion only. As he was for EVERYTHING in Halo 4.

How about you check Neighbor’s and Elamite’s interview with Bravo.

Like you said: fail.

MLG may have default sprint. AAs and perks will not be added. Watch. You will be wrong.

I’m so tired of all these Halo purists who don’t even THINK to give the new additions a chance. They pretty much have PAQK’s mindset and will ONLY play MLG settings no matter who tells them otherwise. Sounds pretty boring to me. These kinds of people are also most likely to become the bad side of the MLG community and talk trash to their teammates if they aren’t performing well.

This is how the MLG playlist works:

1.) New player goes into MLG playlist to see what the MLG playlist is all about because he is inspired about the MLG events and whatnot.

2.) New player doesn’t quite perform well on his first try and gets harassed by the MLG tryhards for not being good.

3.) MLG kids will always blame their teammates because of the MLG kid dying.

4.) New player stops playing MLG playlist because of constantly being harassed by the MLG tryhards.

Rinse and repeat.

I…dont get it? You’re disgusted by Halo 4 but you are still going to buy it simply because of MLG.

343 pays attention to MLG… They also know that their are casual players that would enjoy the features that they are implementing. Casuals… you know like 90% of the population. 343 is making a game for people to have fun while trying to maintain some competitiveness. Sorry 343 can’t cater to your every need.

We probably won’t have a playlist until the actual settings are released. The game isn’t even out yet, worry about the MLG playlist post launch.

Because halo 3 is laggy, forge is awesome, and casual is fun every once in a while.

343i says there is supposed to be a lot more customization, and they have gone to MLG directly for some stuff, so I’m guessing MLG will have quite a bit more to play around with for their playlist.
