Still like many unable to play Halo 5 due to the severe latency only experienced on Halo 5. Many are affected by this issue worldwide, let alone others reporting disconnection problems.
I am from the U.K and have a great ISP, I suffer no latency issues whatsoever with ANY other game, I didn’t with Halo 5 either at launch and for the weeks up to the light and dark BTB update. Ever since the BTB dropped this game has become a latent unplayable, unenjoyable mess.
Note: This thread is addressed to 343, I just want it fixed. Before 343 apologists and other ignorant forum users state it must be your ISP, please think first. Why are so many others reporting the same issue? Why with me can I play Titanfall (which also uses dedicated servers), Halo MCC, CoD Blops 3 (Peer to peer) and EVERY other FPS game I own with NO issues whatsoever? The only common denominator is Halo 5 and it’s “Dedicated Servers” I have posted in support and received no support from 343 whatsoever. So I posted here instead.

Be nice if 343 responded even once, even if I had a response saying we are working on it hold tight that would be sufficient, not even had that though just feels like they do not care.
Note to Monitors, this is not “Non Constructive”, I would just like an answer and possibly a timeframe to a resolution from 343. I am not posting to be disruptive.

I’m actually seconding this. Literally clicked to go onto warzone, got matched, put a legendary RP boost, got kicked before I even saw the pelican drop me off.
Been happening quite lately, people rubber banding all over the place, it feels like the servers are dying (Not to say they are)
But I agree with OP, it’d nice to see this get resolved. Constantly see people getting kicked/DCing/Lag spikes.

Agreed with lag recently it is happening in arena also with people jumping everywhere on screen. Came since the last Jan update not sure what they changed

Until we get actual selectable data centres, you know, the ones josh Holmes promised us after the H5 beta I will remain sceptical about these “dedicated servers” I wouldn’t be surprised if the game defaults back to p2p in the case where a dedicated server can’t be reached
They told us MCC ran on dedicated servers too and we all know how that ended

Since February, the servers got region locked (apparently), so no more servers for where I live. (Reunion Island, a French overseas territory in the Indian Ocean)

In all respect no, the game hasn’t worked properly since BTB dropped for me. Latency is bad enough but it’s terrible that you cannot even play the game.

It’s the first time I have seriously considered not doing that.

I agree, I posted in the support section a while back on behalf of my friend who seems to be having the same problem. i got no response from 343. The communication between fans and 343 is a complete joke. There is a huge thread on this and 343 did comment at some point that they weree addresing the problem but that was ages ago, I’ve heard no word since.

Thank you, besides all we want to do is play our game. I wished 343 would take us seriously and rectify this issue.

Exactly the lack of communication is intolerable. Problems may occur that’s understandable, but ignoring them and not keeping us updated is not on.

Sorry to hear that, it’s been bad since BTB for me but it seems different parts of the world are having the same issues but during different updates.

Very true I have suggested regional dedicated servers and yes 343 did lie about dedicated servers with MCC, and no this is not non constructive Monitors, its the truth.
Some parts of the world are actually using peer to peer with Halo 5. Tbh that would actually work better for many until they rectify the servers back to the settings they used at launch.

Exactly the lack of communication is terrible, I am a realist, problems may arise but at least keep us updated. It seems to me 343 do not respect their player base.
I have have supported the transition between Bungie and 343 and actually supported them more than they could ever know. This lack of communication and the fact I cannot even play the game as intended has soured my opinion of them. They have done a lot of good things but this issue needs to be addressed ASAP.

I read that thread that they commented on but still no resolution. My experience of posting multiple threads about the same issue in support is that they are just totally ignored. 343 need to communicate with us.

It needs fixing many have reported the Jan updated has ruined the game for them due to latency. Me it has happened since BTB update. ={

until recently i would have disagreed with you, however I have noticed a major difference in match quality between play during the week and weekends recently to the point its almost a night and day difference, at weekends match quality seems to improve for me , more players on matching people closer to me? regardless something definitely janky connection wise at the moment.
