I preordered my copy of the Ultimate Edition on 12/3/2016, and still no code. Just curious as to when this will arrive, as the update stated that anyone that preordered prior to 12/14 should have the code on 12/20 (yesterday). Please do not post the FAQ as a reply, believe it or not, I have checked that out and it did not provide an answer to this query.
Dude no one knows, im sure there are still people who pre ordered a long time before you did that didnt get a code. Not trying to be grim, but alot of us are in the dark. The people who did get a code are slowly creeping in to say they got it. You should look at other threads that talk about who got a code and who is still waiting, just to get a better idea.

Cool, I appreciate the response. Not that it’s a positive thing, but I’m glad others are in the same boat and it’s not an isolated situation. I’ll just try and be patient, I suppose.
i think the miss handling of this is what im bummed out the most. pre order digital halo wars de as a 10mb with it saying hey you bought it should allow all who did download the game, and not wait for a random key that should have come yesterday for a lot of people. now with reports of no online matchmaking, ranks or leader boards. people are yelling and getting refunds. Now i believe that people thought that by “early access” it would be the full game. and its not early access they meant as just like steam “a funding model in the video game industry by which consumers can pay for a game in the early stages of development and obtain access to a complete masterpiece, Alpha/Beta versions of the game, while the developer is able to use those funds to continue work on the game” so am i pissed that there are things not in the game no i’m not am i a little annoyed of the miss handling with the keys yes i am. i do believe that matchmaking and ranks and leader boards will be put in but at a later date before launch.

this i have had it on pre-order before the 14th and i was reading people who pre order on the 19th got a key. this whole thing is a mess and now with a tweet saying no more codes until tomorrow.

Yep it worked and I got the code, Thanks! so if any has this problem then go to Microsoft support.

Glad that worked.
I preorder my copy in June and got a key dec 20th around 3pm eastern time. I pre ordered my son HW2 in dec 3rd and he too received a code dec 20th about 3pm eastern time . I know a lot of people are frustrated but if I didn’t get my codes I would cal Xbox support and demand (in a courteous , polite way) or else I wouldn’t just cancel my pre order i would cancel every Xbox live I pay for as well. I have 3 consoles in my house. If they are willing to lose a die hard halo fan and consumer then so be it. At the end of the day I blame 343 becuz even MCC was a disaster and if they are worried about people ordering and canceling their orders just to get a code for halo wars DE who cares?! It’s early access so unless u pay for HW2 in its entirety then you will never get the complete hw DE anyways. None of it makes sense, I feel for all those who are still waiting. The game in my opinion is a huge improvement from halo wars just because of the FPS making the game smoother all together . I truly don’t care for the ranking system becuz I want to rank up in HW2 not the original. Again I would call Xbox support and demand what’s rightfully yours ! Good luck and merry xmas fellas !

the latest it will arrive is the 30th and sorry i don’t know the exact date it will arrive cause im not from the future

Just contact xbox support (text chat or call, i did the text chat) and say you pre ordered the game, they will ask for you Gamertag and/or email address associated with your gamertag, then they will generate a code for you if you are eligible.
