I would like to know what 343i is doing/plans to do about quitters. I am sick of them ruining games for me and I have hardly played Reach for the last two plus weeks because of people quitting. I played a game today of Big Team Battle. All 7 of my teammates had quit by the end of the game. I was left playing alone, in MULTIPLAYER.
Quitters only get a swift quit ban that lasts a whole whopping 10 minutes. I know, I know, a 10 minute quit ban won’t do anything. Trust me I have expirience with this.
They already have a ban for quitters and that’s better than it was in Halo 3. Just deal with it, if it gets 1v4 than quit out yourself. The quit-ban is perfectly fine and really annoys people.
Some of us have enough decency to not quit.
I believe what you guys are failing to recognize is why they can’t make it a pain for quitters. Thats because they can’t tell the difference between lag outs and internet disconnects from quitting the game because the got bored or whatever. If they punished people for having a bad connection or for some power outage occuring then a lot more people would get upset.
I understand what you are saying. But how often do you think that someone would play and their power would go out? Maybe once every 3-4 years. IF someone is quitting more then 2-3 games a week it is their fault. Either their internet sucks, and they shouldn’t be playing and a ban wouldn’t hurt them or they should be banned for straight up quitting. Also if someone quits but is still on XBL or in Reach, they can tell and that person has quite clearly quit, and did not lag out.
Really? It was not because you were busy playing MW3?
I’d like to have the quit ban only affect those who either are booted or actually hit pause then quit. But then you’d have people disconnecting their internet to quit out of games.
It’s a tough situation to solve. All I know is, it needs fixing!

…so quit?
If you quit they should make it show on your personal profile like -200 cR (or whatever) for quitting Slayer 12/12/12 etc.
Anyone get it?

However with Halo 3 you lost an experience point. That single point was gained from a win. Quitting affected your stats in Halo 3. Just sayin’.

Dude, if you are the lone guy on a team in BTB slayer, you are the jerk for making 8 people sit through a 15 minute snore-fest. If it was objective, that’s not as bad, but still. If you’re the last guy, save everyone the trouble and quit (ideally you wouldn’t be punished, but there’s slack in the system for a reason).
Lone wolfing in Halo 4V4/BTB Reach playlists are a risky situation for players. The same foes for a full group of experience players dealing with quitters on the opposing losing except they gain a quick win. Go in with a team or do short playlists like action sack multi-team living dead! I can’t think of any other reasons that will help if you continue Lone wolfing MM playlists of Regular Objective, swat, snipers, BTB, Arena, MLG. Though’s plays lists have the highest quitting rate in Reach!
Not everyone has the best internet you can buy, my internet cuts off sometimes and people have power cuts, i’m pretty sure power cuts are a lot more often than 3-4 years, more like once a year. Frankly your being inconsiderate, internet cuts off and its no fault of the user, now you want a considerably more ban time, more then 10 mins? i’m guessing you want an hour or 30mins. For people who have just been disconnected briefly they will then also have to wait 30mins just so you can have a game with no quitters? those who quit a game on purpose have to wait 10mins, but boosters leave every game so that 10mins quickly stacks up. The ban time is good how it is. I don’t think they will change it.
Maybe we’ll be taken more seriously if we correctly spell “punished”? If read with a Shakespearean accent the incorrect spelling almost works. Almost.

Approves!
I think the point loss system is fair for reach! I’m not sure if they will add it now but halo 4 should have one…

NO, NEVER QUIT
It’s an ideal that you’re ideally raised with. Just one of those things that makes the world a better place. No excuses for quitting. If everyone followed this, no one would ever have a quitting problem.
