When will Old Breakout Return?

As the title says, when will the classic breakout make a return?

I haven’t touched breakout ever since they changed it (which I’m sure is the same for a lot of Breakout fans) and I’m really starting to miss it.

Any idea if it’ll ever come back with maybe the revamped maps?

I miss it too. Maybe Halo 6 beta will have it again.

I hope they bring it back. Hopefully make edits on the maps pertaining to the flag, I like how the flag is actually an objective unlike before when you only grabbed it if someone is camping, and then you found out they were camping next to their spawn. But right now it’s a flag rush.

I like the current breakout more though. Its more strategic… besides the shotty and radar

For you guys that like classic breakout, you need to make more noise when it’s around. I remember hearing mostly just people complaining about it (myself included). Arena Breakout isn’t so bad. But I really didn’t like classic.

I loved the original Breakout but I’m liking Breakout 2.0 the more I play it. You never know, 343i might change it back but I think that they’re happy with how the mode is now.

Well, those who liked the old Breakout (like me) didn’t feel a need to make noise because we didn’t know it was gonna go until it did. We had no reason to make noise. We were too busy playing Breakout.

If people like both, then just separate the two into two different things like Team Arena. Choose Breakout and either get Classic Breakout or Breakout 2.0

Breakout was a sleeper hit for me.

I disliked it during the Beta and around Halo 5’s launch, then really started enjoying it about 6 months later for reasons I just can’t explain. Then the change happened…

Breakout was the gametype where I got an Immortal medal; which I will never forget.

I hate Breakout 2.0 with a passion… I don’t enjoy the pacing or the weapons, or generally the overall feel of it.

I could have made some noise about it, but I was mostly absent from Halo around the time when they made the switch, so I didn’t see it coming.

I’m worried that Breakout will join Dominion and Ricochet in the 343 refuse pile.

Agreed, new breakout is an abomination.

its quite funny you mention ricochet as well since it’s 343s own game mode they invented in h4.

Ive been sitting searching Breakout and cant find anyone tried balanced and now im in Expanded and ie been in 1/4 searching for spartans … for about 7 or 8 minutes… im still serching while i type this.
