When will 'mute players' actually work?

I’m sick and tired every now and again of having to listen to some complete -Yoink!- blast some crappy rap music down his mic, and then you get the whiny American children (not offending Americans, but the majority of squeakers I’ve come across are American) who never shut up when they get killed, and then there’s the people that have their mic down their throat so you can hear their food digesting as well as their breathing.

So when can we mute people in EVERY match, because it only works for a few and then gives up.

I have not no problems with this. It works for me in game and in the pregame lobby. So glad they added it

Sometimes it glitches out and doesn’t work. That’s his problem, not that it exists.

You can actually force it to glitch if you use it for a number of consecutive games. You can get around it by setting up a party of just yourself.

I’ve gotten in the habit of just muting the person playing the music.

When I first started playing though, I would do “mute all” when things got annoying (rather than just mute one or two players.) And I’d run into the glitch discussed here where it would stop working. The glitch would clear itself if I did a hard reboot (hold the power button down on the console for about 5 seconds).
