What do you mean?
Sending out codes for this kind of situation is idiotic in this day and age. It’s one thing to use it for preorder bonuses that change between retailers but to send out a simple unlock that is the same for everyone based on time?
You can’t tell me they didn’t have this planned in advance. If so, it should have been included in the code in a zero-day patch. Fairly simple program check: If the gamertag has played online before 11/20 AND the date is 11/21 THEN unlock the rest of the specializations.
Looking at the last reported numbers pre-11/20, Halo 4 has sold almost 4 million worldwide. Only a small portion of those are LE. This means having to e-mail millions of codes. What a logistical nightmare.
It’s pretty sad that there was a better way already engineered into the game through Xbox Live but they’ve chosen the more difficult, more cumbersome method.
