Maybe they can make that pass free for everyone, and the people who paid for it get rewarded with a new pass or credits.
I imagine it will be made available cheaper at some stage.
But a year in is probably too soon.
And free is probably pushing it. They still need to actually make money from the game. Same with giving a new pass or credits to “old” players. We’re barely a 12 months down the track here.
Maybe in a couple of years?

But real talk. This game is free, yall hate everything about it, and now you want to get the paid content in the game you hate for free. “i hate this game, i play it 24/7.” I do not understand the people in this community.
To answer your question. It’ll never be free. Either pay the cheap price ($10) or quit begging. It’s sad.

If you get season 2, you’ll get 1,000 credits through playing that battle pass, then technically you’ll be getting season 1 for free. No doubt at some point it might be offered discounted, but not free on its own.
No idea if will get credits through season 3, at the moment iv’e kept the credits from season 2 to get season 3, unless it get’s delayed in which case I need to do some cleaning as the credits already gathered way too much dust 
If @343 did that I would actually respect them for that decision. Which, based on past experience, means they won’t lol.
Yeah, pay for a bunch of legacy armor pieces. Sounds good.

Maybe never. I think it would be a great idea for 343 to reduce the cost of old items and passes. Put them on the clearance rack.
If they were to do it with season 2 or future seasons
with credits it would make sense to remove or reduce the credits in them.

It will never be free. This is the price of the game going free to play. You can purchase the season 2 battle pass and use the credits in that to purchase the season 1 battle pass if you’d like.

This person has made a few comments and posts about not supporting 343i by paying for stuff in the game. Rightfully so, since the game just got basic day one features after a year. But now they are trying to have their cake and eat it too by trying to get free armor out of a game they hate.
Point here being is that they will not buy the season 2 pass.
There are users here who want the pass to become free.
It’s not going to happen. This is a F2P game that makes most of its money from passes and store items. There is no reason to make this content free. Heck, good luck getting a free season pass out of the overwhelming majority of $70 paid game.
Those users would have enough time to graduate HS and get a job to earn the $10 for the pass before the gaming industry changes for the better.

Why should it? It’s a battlepass with armor in it, that you have to pay for. I think requesting the entire thing to be free is outlandish and even entitled.
Alright, I know you’re already getting ratio’d in this comment section but I’d like to give my opinion on the matter.
I’d have loved to have paid for Halo Infinite, or for those who brought the campaign to receive Season 1 for free, alas they didn’t do this. Now what’s fine and dandy, but asking 343i to reduce the price of a battlepass from the already low price that it’s at? You’re joking, right?
343i need to make money somehow on the game. The battlepasses are worth the money 100%. If anything, they’re too generous as of Season 2 since they quite literally give the player all the coins back to buy another battlepass.
You need to pick your battles my friend. The Halo Infinite battlepass system (not expiring and being able to be brought whenever) is actually pretty great

No one asked for it to be f2p, and people like you are the reason bad decisions like these are made. Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel lets you buy a pass with currency you can easily earn.

I’m in the middle. I’ll buy the season passes, but I’m very iffy about the store. People seem to not realize we don’t need the season passes to enjoy the game as well, as nothing is behind a paywall other than cosmetics.
Nobody asked for it to be a $60 box title either.
Nobody asks for financial decisions to be made until financial decisions have been made. They asked for a new Halo title, features, art style preferences, story etc. Nobody ever makes a stink about the game’s monetization until it after becomes a problem.

Imagine using the “this should have been a $60/$70 priced game” argument for a game while being too cheap to get one $10 season pass. If this game cost you money to buy, YOU’D be the one asking for it to be F2P.
