Sorry I mis-read the last post as something else. Halo 4 will be coming to the BC program at some point in the next few weeks, it won’t be free though unless it gets added to Games with Gold. I have no idea if that will happen or not

To play in mode classified in the halo it is necessary of the glod. To play in social fashion you just need silver.

Halo 4 might never be on Games with Gold. Sure, Halo Reach and 3 were on there, but ODST never was, and that’s a much smaller game in comparison to the other two. They don’t just get added after a period of time. Even 4-5 years later, 343 is making money off of Halo 4 with the MCC, and there’s bound to be a little spike in sales with it coming to the backwards compatability program. As it stands, they don’t have much of a reason to give it away for free. Although, it’s true that it’s getting close to the age that Halo games get added. It took Halo 3 six years, and Halo Reach five years, so there’s still a chance it could be on there within a year or two.

Honestly if I had to take a guess, it’d probably be either a little before or slightly afterward it becomes back compat
