I don’t think 343 said anything about this, just people complaining on the forums.
The fact that there isn’t even a BR/Legendary Slayer gametype in neither Slayer or Team Arena simply makes me laugh out of disappointment.
I don’t think they’ll change it. They already have tonnes of precision weapons strewn across the maps in arena on very short timers. Maybe in big team.

BR is also very powerful that may be a reason why it isn’t a primary weapon yet.
343 Proteam says NO BR Starts!!!
I would like it if it went back to Halo 4, with a load-outs with various weapons. The reason for this is that, everyone firing a magnum around gets a bit boring, adding the load-outs would add more variety.

If you want BR only playlists, thats fine, but the rest of us want AR starts.

as soon as you let people spawn with brs the entire multiplayer experience breaks down into the use of a single weapon. spawn, br battle, kill, br battle, die, spawn, br battle, die, spawn again
why dont u just buy the mcc collection and go back and play the old halos and go do your mlg br battles over there
loadouts are the worst seriously just go back and play halo 4 oh wait nobody plays halo 4 because loadouts are garbage.

“The rest of us?” That’s really presumptuous.
Personally, I’m not a fan of AR starts either. Lots of people aren’t. I’m hoping that the introduction of the social playlists will see the AR go that way, and the BR/DMR move into the ranked slayer lists. Lots of other fun things to do until then though!

I just want Pistol starts, or maybe a DMR with a holosight instead of a scope. Either way don’t really give a damn about the AR.
I want to play ranked with ar starts though an im sure a lot of others want this too. when u spawn with a br nobody wants to move around. it becomes a waiting game of ppl trying to find good br angles and catch the people who run out in the open. its lame and i really enjoy the change of pace it makes the game more strategic
i think it would be nice to have the option but its all kosher

It’s hilarious how they decided not to design the game around BR starts, despite the fact that that is how the game has been played for over 10 years, and has always been the preference among the other alternatives.
They decided to design the Pistol to act almost identically to a BR, but slightly worse… and left BRs on the map to create that tiny imbalance in the gameplay for no reason whatsoever.
I honestly hope this is their last Halo.

I stopped listening to the pro team when they thought sprint was a good idea. Ground pound was a good idea. Spartan charge was a good idea. And making the AR overpowered as hell a good idea. If they really were pro they would push for the BR. I don’t trust a single one of them
