I think this is the 4th straight week that I haven’t done it, due to ridiculous firefight and campaign laso alternating. And now it seems 343i is not paying what those challenges should be (13,000 really?). There should be a variety but not only that, make them worth it. Maybe have them proportional to your rank or doubled after Field Marshall + or something, cause 13,000 is not worth the labor of going through a laso and neither was last week playing 18 full games of firefight.
I know its extra credits and whatever, but there comes a point where its not worth the payout for how much trouble you would have to go through and the amount of time.
I prefer not letting a pointless system like credits dominate my playtime. I won’t be pre-ordering Halo 4 for this and many other reasons.
I despise games like COD where unlocking the best weapons/abilities/perks is required and gameplay revolves around stomping players who are yet to acquire these advantages.
I play the game to enjoy it. I will not obsess over cR like it rules my game time. I got my armor I like, I got to a rather high rank, I don’t need anything else. I will only play the game to enjoy it. I don’t go after Weekend Jackpots, I don’t do custom challenges, I do only some Daily challenges. I enjoy the game for what it is. And when Halo 4 comes out, I will be trying for those ranks again so I can get the armor I want.
I really went after those aggressively until I hit Inheritor, but now that I am trying to knock out the Commendations, I find I am still looking at those. “What should I play today? Hey - Pistol shots in FF.” Same with the Weekly Challenge. I happen to like most of the game, and not just MM, so it’s no big deal. Since they show up on the history, I may as well knock them out. (It’s not like I’m going to impress anyone with my k/d )
The last one I did was Exodus LASO, I think. Part of it is the fact that I haven’t had as much time as I usually do, but it’s also all the Firefight Challenges. Whenever there’s a Firefight grind for the Weekly, I don’t even bother to go for it.
I got this weekly this morning starting at 8am and finished at 9am. The second time I’ve done it. I avoid the 77 wins or 200 multikill challenges, I painfully sat through the 50 rounds last week. I didn’t want to but it got fun around when i stopped playing for commendations and just rolled with it.
The previous weekly exodus laso I also did. Campaign challenges - unless they’re insane lasos I always do, the firefight ones I always do, and on occasion the matchmaking ones. Since my skill with the magnum has increased dramatically over the past few months I’d gladly take a 200 pistol kill weekly challenge.
