Halo 5 was had one hell of a bumpy road. Launch was horrid, but as time when on it get better, but when was it at it’s best? I’m curious.
When it released and servers were crispy
Before they took off region lock.
Probably last summer when there was a large community and MM was better. Honestly though, they fixed all the things that were wrong with them game long after people stopped playing it. It is personally one of my favorite game concepts because of the new movement (minus spartan charge), multiplayer changes and new weapons, but there were soooo many things that were done incorrectly early on that it makes it hard to actually like the game.
At this point, the match making pools are so small and the talent gap is so large that it makes it difficult to continue to play.
Shortly after Firefight was released.
- Firefight (despite all its problems) - 4 Daily REQ packs (Login, Arena, Warzone, WZFF) - Higher population - Was just after the end of the monthly updates
Ever since they changed how the motion tracker works Halo 5 has been so good to me. The HCS settings are how H5 motion tracker should be in every playlist with a motion tracker.
When they were rolling out playlist map refreshes every 2 weeks-1 month.
Is still great right now though. I’m almost done with my gold grind, and then I’m going to start crushing the arena commendations I still need.

I’m going to disagree here. I really hope the HCS Motion Tracker STAYS in the HCS. I prefer the standard motion tracker and always will.
When warzone firefight update came out.
when im playing
Honestly I’m not sure, however I enjoyed playing Warzone when everyone had the same REQs!
I’d say January 2016 or so. My reasoning being that warzone was so much better. There weren’t nearly as many reqs in play and boss killing was huge if you wanted the win.
