When to use which power weapon/ vehicle

Using the right power weapon at the right time against the right opponent or situation is certainly a huge success factor in the game.

Strategic rather than random selection of power weapons & vehicles would increase the performance of the team while individual Spartans would use their hard earned reqs wisely and avoid sparing them.

So, let’s share our expertise and help each other make the best possible use of our resourses.

Let’s remember: during a fight our teammates’ resources are the team’s resources. When they play wisely we all win.

P.S. Kudos to Comedyshermit who has been the inspiration for this thread (based on a very helpful post he made yesterday in some other topic).

  • Spawn a rocket to defend your armory
  • Spawn a phaeton when you see that the enemy team is really bad
  • Don’t spawn a vehicule/weapon when the score is above 800 because the kill of the last boss can end the game in mere seconds

Always use carbines at level 2 req, I always use a random weapon at level 4 req while hoping to get a sniper, idk that will give you a good start to the game and then it really depends how the game is progressing from there. If they have a lot of air vehicles I won’t call out any tanks and will usually try and shoot them down with a spartan laser. It’s a pretty broad question.

Clearing out armories: Plasma caster
Suppressing armories: Wraith
Anti-air: Splaser or railgun
Anti-ghost: Railgun or plasma pistol
Anti-tank: Splaser, camo, or Plasma pistol
Taking out most bosses: Scorpion
Hunters: Wraith
Area denial: Sniper/Beam Rifle
Anti-answer: Rockets
Defending an armory: Sword/Blaze of Glory/Answer
Wardens: Scorpion/Answer
Mythic Knights: Incineration cannons or ghosts
Mantis bosses: SMGS and crowding around them.
Goblins: Ghosts
Taking the spire early on apex: Wasp
Killing off lower level bosses: Ghosts

These are my go to techniques for warzone, not necessarily the best options. Everyone’s play style is different. My play style tends to be ‘do whatever my team isn’t’ or ‘get rid of the biggest threat on the field’ which means I tend to do things solo and when I can I like to keep my distance. So for loadouts I tend to go for silenced weapons, advanced sensors, and sentinel scopes. Sentinel scoped DMR/BR with Silencer and Silenced SMG/Sentinel BR with Bayonet are my go to loadouts.

If I ran with a team; team shooting vehicles actually brings them down pretty quickly. Most of the time I don’t so advanced strategies like ‘everybody shoot the warthog’ are out of reach.

Don’t call in a valuable weapon/vehicle when you or the enemy is 900+ VP. The game will end too fast for you to get the most out of that REQ and there is most likely bosses that will finish the game if defeated.

When you are spawning in mythics or the like, SPAWN AT HOME BASE. I hate seeing people that complain that they got a Nornfang and got spawn killed. Spawn. The. Weapon. In. Home. Base.

good thread. All of them make sense. Honestly I never even though to just grab rockets and blow up the clowns with Answers haha.
