I’ve saw a few mention here that the best system of pack opening is by doing them in order for bronze but how do you know when to move onto silver?

When you get a card that refunds some REQ points. I think it’s 500 points refunded if I remember correctly.
When you are finished with silver, instead of unlocks you will get one or two req cards that refund 1500 points a piece. For Gold it’s 3000 a piece.

I got 200 req points back in my last pack, could that be me done?

You will get req points back and also get a emblem called nadir or something like that

Ok thanks, don’t have that emblem so still bronze for me.

I´d go for silvers because those are guaranteed unlocks. Bronze doesn´t guarantee unlocks. I don´t know what the statistics are but I stopped opening bronze packs because it felt like it was at least the same money to get two permanent unlocks anyway. I´m done with all reqs now, just saying.

Only time I ever opened Bronzes was for the Carbines and Railguns it often had. I was always, since launch, starved for Carbines and still am - worse now that they’re REQ level 2.
For unlocks though, it was always Silver for those guaranteed unlocks. Bronze just isn’t worth it if you’re aiming to unlock something.
I will say that you must keep an eye on all you unlock here in waypoint
before it was easy to see how many left to jump into the next paq.
unfortunately they had decrees the chance of unlocking armor and increased the chance of unlocking weapons this can make your silver grind even longer.
so I will say until you have most of common weapons and vehicles jump into silver and jump gold when you have all uncommon and rare

I’m not looking to unlock anything in particular want to unlock everything so the efficient method for that is opening in order.

In that case, don’t open Bronze at all. Ever. Not once.
The most cost-efficient way to get everything unlocked quickly is to open nothing but Silver and then move to Gold once the Silvers stop giving you unlocks. Silvers will give you all the unlocks that Bronze packs would, but the reverse is not true - additionally, Silvers guarantee at least two unlocks while you could have the RNG Gods spit on you and have seven bronze packs open and not a single unlock.

Ok I’ve only been doing this way because I’ve saw a few people say it’s the way to go, will do the silver thing from now on because the way you describe it makes more sense.

It would seem like it yeah, start with the common stuff then move onto the rarer stuff… But the flaw in that theory is the fact that Bronze packs have a fairly low chance of actually providing an unlock and have a very narrow range of unlocks to begin with. Silvers cost more per pack, but you’ll end up using less REQ points overall if you start with and stick with them until Golds. On top of all this, a Bronze only has a “chance” at an unlock and a single unlock at that. Silvers and Golds always provide two.

But what’s wrong with an never ending stream of common Arena XP boosts, Boltshots and Mongoose(s)? Good times!

Aaah yes, the req packs on Halo 5’s launch… Mongeese for everyone!
Now where’d that pic of a Grunt opening a Silver pack only to be crushed by a stream of mongeese go… I had it lying around somewhere…
