In my opinion MLG is pretty boring (Reach), cus of all the lame maps… and ofc → All the tryhards:p
If the MLG maps in Halo 4 will be good, im maybe gonna play it more. But how it is now, it blows:/

I am not an MLG player, have never been an MLG player, and will never be an MLG player.
Reach MLG is pretty good, if the maps weren’t grey I’d probably play it more even though I suck at MLG.
MLG balances games better than Bungie or 343 could ever do. Assuming Halo 4 really blows, I hope they fix it for their playlist.
I enjoyed the MLG settings in Halo 3, but in Reach I just didn’t play it much because it got to the point where (like the Arena) it wasn’t fun without a full team to play with.

MLG is the only playlist that is tolerable in Reach. But Sundance recently just posted that MLG is done with Reach for good, lol. Poor guy, sucks that Bungie had to make such a terrible game. It put MLG in such an awkward and frustrating position.

Yes. All I play nowadays is MLG and I expect to be in a similar position for h4 with all the fluff being added on top of the core game.
No I will never play mlg. Nothing but tryhards that think they know the best for the game when really their version of the best for it is to remove all new features and force the gametypes into precision rifle exclusive. Where is the fun in that? best thing about halo is interesting guns. Not to mention the maps are dumb, always have to be perfectly balanced/mirror imaged. Honestly I dont even view mlg as halo anymore, they just change too much to their liking to the point that they have their own game by the time they are done with it. Mlg players should just go back to halo 3 where they were happiest.
Yes, definitely! It looks like H4 will be at MLG Dallas 2013, on top of that I need to practice for EGL8 or whatever it’ll be.

E-sports are well recognized, whether you want them to or not. Frankly, I’m happy that you don’t acknowledge it, makes you seem so much more likable.

I used to think “When will people stop believing that all gamers are just freaks who live down in their basements with no life?”
Once that belief stopped, we got all this over-glorifying BS. I’d rather have the “all gamers are losers” belief strewn about than “Gaming has a place everything!!!”
The day people said there was a “gaming community” was the day everything went wrong.
As for your question: Decent is subjective. You might not like the baseline modes, but I probably will. Besides, it couldn’t hurt to at least try them, right?

Ignoring eSports is your own ignorance. It’s a massive industry that provides entertainment for millions of people.
Like I’ve said before - athleticism is not necessary for an activity to be deemed a sport.
