Everyone relax and calm down. Before I start let me just say im not going to say stop rushes, ban them, they’re not a strategy blah blah.
ive been reading the forums since release and it’s fair to say a lot of people hate rushes.
Now for those that -Yoink- in their pants and say it’s a must or you’re not a legit RTS player if you don’t agree with it… calm down anyone who plays the game and enjoys it is an RTS player everyone has they’re own style, simple.
But it seems to me that most people complaining about the rushers are those that play 3v3.
When it comes to 1v1 theirs no arguement it can be easily stopped through simple means. 2v2 is also easy to defend but not as easy mind you. If you have a party it’s easy to co-ordinate. If you’re with randoms it becomes harder.
Now here’s the real issue… I myself mostly play 3v3. I can completely understand where all the hate comes from for rushing. When it comes to 3v3 it is a team game mode of course. however a lot of people play the game mode by themselves and get paired with randoms. It’s these people who suffer the most. It is also played by a lot of people who are in a party of 3. I can tell you most partied up people know what theyre doing and they rush targeting the same person. No matter how good 1 single player is with any amount of preparation they alone can’t fend off 3 armies. A partied group against a partied group can defend easier “most of the time”. I myself play alone and get randoms, I am max rank ranging from top tier to lower tier diamond. I am so often paired with 1-15 sometimes 30’s rarely a full team of 40’s to 50. I can tell you now these people are new they have no idea to counter a rush and aren’t prepared in time.
Now listen I know it’s a risk you take when you play 3v3 by yourself and get randoms but I’m not going to lie it’s infuriating to constantly lose because of this.
It’s easy to say go find a team then or talk in chat but as you all know it’s rare to find people talking ingame and not everyone can find people for a team. Or those that say “play a different game mode then”. It’s not as simple as that for some people and I can’t even begin to tell you how many games I’ve lost due to people raging after getting rushed.
For 3v3s in its current state rushing is an issue that needs to be addressed. Perhaps not the rushing maybe the way the matchmaking is. Atm if you play alone with randoms and win you get more xp for your rank and if you lose, you lose less compared to if you play with a party. Now I think either the game mode needs to be split where partied teams have a seperate game mode of 3v3 possibly mix in parties of 2 in some way this would be difficult to do without the solo players to even the teams though. Or increase the reward for those playing alone and decrease the loss as well.
I might get shot for this but rushing is somewhat unfair in 3v3s when it comes to the team pairings.
Anyway if you read all this good on ya it’s just my thoughts and opinions. Maybe somebody else out there has a better solution and a legitimate one that isn’t “quit whinging or playing if you don’t like rushers” lol
