The unlock is tied to the stores region that you bought the game from.
Mine is the UK store so unlocks at 12.01am GMT tomorrow for me

Your local server time unlocks the game at 12:01amLOCAL… If things are smooth.
i have a physical copy of the game, if I change my Xbox region to NZ will I be able to play now or will I have to wait 00:01 UK time?
Seems people who have physical copies can already play (atleast that’s what i see on reddit)
